Hello one and all. An old SC II player for a long time here that decided to finally make a profile on here. The videos I have been watching of game play make me feel that five will be more up to the speed and pace two was and wanting to play it again on a more competitive level.

I will looking in character threads and offline location meet ups for around the Central Florida area. I know Enkindu will be happy to have another player near him to play.
 
Pocky Yoshi says hello and is pleased to meet you......maybe Pocky Yoshi should move to Orlando......then again I'll miss my mom's cooking......such a dilemma. Aside from that, it's great to see more Floridians turn up.

No, it's not a reference to that show, mvc3 horrible comeback mechanic, or even the Marvel comic book series. I played in an arcade where there were 3 people named Alex, so it got confusing. We all after a while adapted nicknames to clarify who we were and mine was just X.

Someone made a comment on how I made them play different one day, and that is how I came up with my tournament sign up name of X_Factor.
 
Hey! Welcome! I wanted to let you know that Zdamned will be back from his vacation today, so he might respond to your post in the FL thread either today or tomorrow. Where are you at in Orlando? I'm near UCF, and so is Zdamned. His place will most likely be the hub for SC5.
 
I'm out near the Maitland area but I have been thinking about trying to get a weekly or every few weeks thing going after SC5 is out for a bit. I hear about little spots holding come hang out tourneys and I can't believe that Orlando never has that.
 
Orlando does have that. We had monthlies for SC4 for awhile last year. It's just that SC4 went through periods where it died, then what was left of the community tried to make a revival that lasted for a few months, then died again. Hopefully this won't happen with SCV. Even if it does, I won't stop playing. I've been playing SC4 non-stop since it was release in Aug of 2008. I am so bored with the game, but it's still the only game I have the most fun playing.
 
There used to be stuff at Rocky's and some other places down there for SC2.

SCIV just kind of flubbed everywhere, I think.
 
The same happened with SC3 as well. There are alot of Capcom players in Orlando that are begging me to teach them when it comes out, so hopefully with them, the scene will be even bigger. Though I have my reservations about their dedication. I don't want to sound condescending, but I will give most of them 2 months before they stop playing. I think they will forever be a fan after that though. Or at the very least have a new found respect for the series.
 
Supa and I played 4 for a year strait and it was the first game I actually tried to play seriously. Not saying I was amazing, but I stuck with Nightmare that's my boy.
 
That's awesome! Well hopefully you guys will be able to make it over to Zdamneds' condo on the weekend after the release and introduce yourselves. After that, everything should be golden. I'll be going over to his place most likely tomorrow to set up his computer for streaming so even if you can't make it, you should be able to watch and chat with us.
 
Based on the snow storm outside, I think I'm a bit far from making it down there.....

I'll go find some people sometime. Looks like I've been going to Galloping Ghost Arcade on the wrong day or something.

I bombed the Madison crew a couple of weeks ago. That was a ton of fun!

I live right next to Science Drive on Alafaya. When I dropped you off from CEO last year, you were about a ten minute drive from my house. If he is pretty close to your place, then it should be easy to get there and find.

Thanks for the warm welcome Dwayne. I hope more people stick with it too and loosen their grip with Capcom.
 
Oh, it's you, Alex lol. He is off Alafaya and Curry Ford. So it's probably a lil bit closer to you, or maybe the same distance.

I thought you knew from the first post. O well, but yea that is close enough for me to drive over easily.
 
There's so many Alex's, like you said. :P Either way, I'm glad to see that you'll be playing.
