Hey, I'm Rizhall, starving college student extraordinaire!
I joined back in September, but am now finally posting/starting to get serious with teh SC series, with the advent of Soul Calibur 5.
I've always used Mitsurugi, and I plan to do the same now, and this will be my first real jump into, hopefully, high level Soul Calibur. I play other games as well. Vega in SF4, Chun-Li in 3s, Mai/Yuri/EX Iori in KOFXIII, and soon to be Parasoul in Skullgirls. I play the best in the SF series, but that's only because I started playing "to win" with SF4. But Soul Calibur's always had a special place in my heart as my favorite fighting game series, so I'm really excited to start taking this series to a higher level.
So anyone that would like to play me in SC or the other games, I'm on PSN, feel free to add me or tell me you'd like to kick my ass fight me. =)
I'm always opened to tips, so hopefully, I will learn a lot here. And anyone else in the NYC scene, I'd love to make some local friends.

Truth be told, the reason I came here is because I got my ass kicked like 8 times by the only other player on PSN at the time, Jaxelrod XD And I'm ashamed to say that I didn't know who he was until I came back here today and saw his name on the front page! To me, he was just someone who I had fun fighting, despite his cleaning me up.

Sweeeet, frame data! A quick question about frame data. What's considered "fast" in this game? Like, in sf, 3 startup is the best for a poke, and will beat throws.
 
I am also a college student at NYC. I go to FG sessions at the 8-bit-and-up (video game store) during the weekends and I will be playing SCV. The NYU public game library should be getting the game next week and I'll probably be cracking it out there too. I consider myself somewhat decent at the game and I'm currently 11th on the XBL leader boards for ranked. Hit me up with you want to play. My Xiba is ready.
 
Oh you go to 8bit? I don't know where that is, but I'd go if you'll be there on weekend, and more people for sessions? Where is it exactly?
 
35 St. Marks Place. The game just came out so I don't know how many of us are actually playing it but there is a lot of interest about it in the facebook group. There is a large session every sunday night. 4-5 set ups. Last week we ran 1 SCV that was latter changed to KoF13 (None of us knew what the hell we where doing since it was day 0 soul calibur), 1 Marvel and 2 AE set ups. But I'm probably going to hang around this Friday to play some games.
