nice work man. Personally, LED buttons/stick flashing every time I move the things would piss me off, but that's more personal than anything.

SPIKES FTW!

Actually when he built the stick godspu thought that might be an issue, but it turned out that it wasn't. When we took that video the night before he sent it out, none of us who tested it ever noticed the lights while we played. They're really noticeable if you're looking at the stick, but they don't really emit enough light to catch your attention while you're looking at the TV.

plus there's a switch to turn them off if they become a distraction in an important match (or on to distract your opponent in an important match ;) )

thanks for linking the pics MJ

Ah, distraction...my only nemesis...

I might try that one day then. You have to use Seimitsus if you want that to work, right?

Seimitsu over Sanwa for sensitivity?

I thought it was the opposite direction, unless you were talking Happ vs. Seimitsu, where Seimitsu obviously wins. =P

OK, apparently I have the opposite problem. Just resting my damn fingers on Sanwas tends to trigger them, which is why my first ones were gonna be seimitsus. Then I started playing SF4, and...yeah, well I'd think I'd prefer that to not having my ultras go off.

Just going on the buttons I have, Sanwas take more force to depress all the way, but you can breathe on them and they'll activate so there's no reason to push them in all the way.

The Seimitsus I just got, you actually have to press down to get them to activate, but they don't feel quite as springy as the Sanwa's. I like the Seimitsu's better so far. Either the Sanwa's are too sensitive for me, or my VSHG is glitchy 'cause I can't reliably hit A+B on the thing. My HRAP EX with Seimitu's leaves me with less input error overall.

Blarghable, I need to decide by tomorrow! WHICH ONES SHOULD I USE?!!!

Meh, the Sanwas are in, and I haven't really had any quality time with em yet. I should at least give them a shot, why the heck not.

I'll have some pics coming (I'm premium now WOOOO go obnoxiously large sig pic >_<) in an album. My custom's almost ready, hopefully it'll be ready by our Norcal meetup this week.

Back on topic though; is the LED mod super-hard? I would imagine the lighted balltop would be a bitch, with a hollow shaft required. But lighted buttons don't seem that bad...

similar issue with me. i can hit mitsu's b~a slide jf 100% on seimitsu and about 10% on sanwa. i don't know anyone that doesn't fully depress a button when they use it, so the whole extra "sensitivity" thing with sanwas activating earler is moot (and by earlier, it's not an amount of time that is discernable, so whatever you do, don't think they're faster)

and the led mod is pretty simple too if you have decent soldering skills and the right sized bit. are you plannong on ordering a kit or building it from scratch? i can build the unit for you if you're interested. and you can buy predrilled shafts if you don't have the machinery to do it yourself (think it's like $20 from lizard lick) i can do it for less if you want.

I'll keep in touch with you, via PM or in a thread somewhere; I won't be hard to find, and once I can guarantee access to that CnC router, I may be chatting with you and Toodles to see what the modding community in general would like to see made, both in prefab sticks, and in mod parts.

Thanks for all the tips!
