Modding button sensitivity?

I have an SF4 TE stick, and the thing kind of kicks ass, but I'm having a slight issue. This is my first arcade stick ever (jumped right into the hardcore expensive ones as a n00b lol) and this may sound odd but I find the button sensitivity too good. Why the hell is this a problem? Well unless you let go of the button ENTIRELY it won't reset to allow another input. 95% of the time this is ok because my hand floats about a cm above it, but sometimes I'll go for a BB and only B happens. This is because i tap pull up and rest on the button and tap again. You can't even graze the thing or it triggers and I have a bad habit of resting my fingers even though im not pressing down.

Now I could suck it up and learn, but is there an option to perhaps lower the sensitivity? Different buttons? tweeking something? Having this be a new stick I don't know what my options are and what mods I might want to look into. I also like my square gate at times but it can fuck me on quarter rolls occasionally, what gates are there to consider? Just any advise is good. I want to be 100% on doing something if I'm going to open it up and void my warranty...but that will finally allow me to get a SC4 Ivy plate and ditch the SF4 one :D

Also...anything to lessen the clicky noise? I don't think i'll land a single iCS at evo if you can here all that :(

Buttons are really primitive devices. There's not much you can do except change them out for something not Sanwa. I would just learn to deal with it. In general, joysticks that click perform much better than joysticks that don't because it means there are real switches in there. You could probably go for some sort of optical stick, but I would imagine those are more difficult to work with from an electrical standpoint.

You could swap in higher tension springs I guess, but at that point you really might as well replace the buttons wholesale.

Seimitsu buttons are a better balance for me. Nice middle ground between Happ (gotta really push 'em) and Sanwa (look at 'em and they'll trigger).

Sticks are just clicky. Given the background noise in something like Evo, I doubt they'll be able to hear the stick.

I'll look into those buttons. So frustrating playing online and I can't tell what's packetloss, lag buffering, and simply me fuckin up.

TY for the advice.

Also can anyone point me in a direction of a buyers/modders guide to give me a quick start on all this? I don't feel like fuckin up my stick guessing or buying wrong parts.

Think I'm gonna go with the GNs. Lil nervous as this is my first mod, but it needs to be done. Those sanwas are too sensitive for their own good. Plus the black body with color is a nice touch. Thanks for the help.
