i figured i'd take a minute to share some pictures of the tornado that hit West Springfield, MA. these pics were taken by my sister. they are pics of her street 3 days after they got hit...still with no running water or electricity. the house with the tree on it is hers. please donate to red cross and help these people!

i know a couple members here are from the same town. i'd like to see some more pictures and hear about your experience there.

most of the people that got hit didn't have tornado insurance because...well how often are there tornados in massachussetts? i know the damage to my sister's house is just about $100K and that others don't even have houses left at all. again, DONATE HERE and show some support for our fellow peeps!

anybody else have pictures or stories about floods, tornadoes, mudslides, fires or whatever? lets have them!

wow....just wow.

I know you said your sister and BF are just fine. I hope that all her neighbors and friends are ok as well. Blessings go out to those that lost anything dear to them. God speed in the healing process.

I have some pics of the california wild fires that demolished my house and my alignment shop that I HAD!! Ill post em up later!

I hate natural disasters...especially earthquakes. x___x
I'm probably going to die of a heart attack once california gets hit.
I hope everyone's ok up there and just hang in there!

*UPDATE*

evidently since they declared it a natural disaster area, the insurance companies have to cover everyone who had homeowner's insurance. this is GREAT news. she said the worst part of the whole thing was seeing people coming from all over to freeload off the food bank that got set up there. she said that there were blocks of people lined up for the free food and the people who needed it couldn't really even get through. :/

dave, i guess the lady across the street was killed and also the next door neighbor took shelter in a minivan and was crushed by a fallen tree. i'm so happy nothing happened to my sis or her BF or dogs. in the end, things always have a way of working out.

Im not a really religious person. But sometimes there are things that......

Thats heart wrenching about those poor families. Damn!! Great news bout the relief effort. Sensetive subject for me. Damn!!

as if this wasn't enough...now my grandmother just got evacuated from our family home in los alamos, nm, because of a massive forest fire. i'm about 250 miles away and even here it is all grey and smoked out. i sure hope they get it contained. :(

holy shit man. The things your family has been through this year so far. You must be a bunch of strong ass peeps.

*God, please help to make sure lobo's grandma is safe*

I put in a word with the man upstairs. He and I have this agreement. Ill keep praying for grandma and her home. Keep your head up as well lobo!!

The person who got crushed in the minivan was probably evil.

Allow me to share a conclusive statement: HOLY MOTHER FUCKING BITCH ASS PEICE OF FUCKING SHIT THAT'S FUCKING ENORMOUS!!!

As one of the only AZ residents here, let me tell you that in the 20 years I've been here, that is not the worst dust storm I have seen or lived through. Why it got so much press is beyond me. :P
