Need help in deciding which Wii stick to buy.

I already bought 2 Wii Hori sticks for $40 each at Gamestop. As I was buying it, the guy told me that they are coming out with Tatsunoko Sticks. The thing is that they are $80 each. I have not opened my Hori yet. Anybody know how the quality with the Horis is compared to the Tatsunoko stick ? Should I return the Hori sticks and get 2 Tatsunoko sticks, or should I just keep my Horis ? Price is not an option (in terms of $80 a stick) being I got me a job; however, I'd like quality. XD Thanks. :D

Looking at some pics of the TvC joysticks, they appear to be the same quality as the SF4 joysticks that MadCatz also made for the PS3 and X360. The one thing that I am not able to tell is if it is the Sanwa parted Tourney Edition joystick, or the Semitsu parted Standard Edition.

My educated guess, judging by the pictures, is that it is the one that uses Sanwa parts. Which are far superior to the Hori, which uses Semitsu parts. However, if it does use Semitsu parts, then you're better off with the Hori's you already have. Unless you like the artwork. Anywho, I managed to find a pic of this TvC joystick that I used to base my opinion and guess on.

Thanks guys !! :D Kinda like this sticks for the Wii. :p I can use it for other stuff, especially since it has "special features". XD Still buying the game either way thou. :p Anyway, I put $10 for both sticks and haven't opened the Horis (30 policy if not opened). Guess we'll wait to see if they come with Sanwa parts. :) Again, thanks guys !! :D

Finally, a true stick that will have analog support (Mad Catz) on the Wii. Smash Bros can now be played using a stick. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Hori's inputs are purely digital. Since Smash Bros used only the analog component for movement, you couldn't play it using Hori's stick. And this will fairly be customizable so this is good.

Would have bought a different stick on Play-Asia; however, it was discontinued. :( I even had a coupon too. >:(

Not going on ebay or online either because the shiping is ridiculously expensive. :p

Kinda have a good feeling with the US Tatsunoko stick. Plus i have a Gamestop 1 min from my house (Which is where i preordered it. :p). If in the event the parts aren't Sanwa, no biggie. The stick still has Tekkaman Blade on it (In the link below). :D

lol enk, the madcatz se sticks don't use seimitsu parts.it uses madcatz parts, which are cheap knockoffs (similar in quality to hori's current gen of parts), which are garbage quality compared to actual seimitsu parts, which , depending on preference, are of equal or better quality than sanwa parts.

madcatz te's and hrap sa's come with sanwa. they are the only 2 options for quality parts off the shelf- anything else is about equal in sub-par quality (as far as japanese style parts- i know you love your happs enk)

yeah the $80 stick is crap. Buttons feel like shit and the stick has that washer issue. Stick with the Hori or go all the way to the TE...ooor buy the $80 and but new parts.

Those aren't semeitsu buttons in the SF4 stick. I took out my SANWAs to put in semietsus, they're awesome...SANWAs are too sensitive imo. Lot of accidental hitting or not pulling off far enough with double clicks.

Hori buttons > the cheap Sanwa knockoffs Mad Catz uses in their SE sticks. At the very least they don't stick when you press them at the sides. They're still really crap though. And tend to break within a few months of use. I miss the old days when their buttons lasted years. Also, Hori joysticks while not the greatest thing ever, tend to be somewhat dependable. The JLF knockoff Mad Catz uses, while usable, still feel flaky to me.

If you intend to mod however, get the SE. It's waaaaaaaaay easier to mod.

yeah, just be careful when modding, my TE had near stripped screws and the glue inside broke on my first opening. Parts might be SANWA, but madcatz still built it >_<.

SANWA or Semeitsu buttons are awesome. Just remember to fix the washer issue on the joystick if you get an SE.
