New Voldo player here

Hey everyone, my name is MaidMaryin and I'm very much so new to fighting games.
SCV is the first fighting game I've ever really played, and I've already chosen my main to be Voldo. Over the weekend I went with a few friends of mine to PowerUp and I was incredibly impressed by the fighting game community and I would love to be apart of it.
Like I said, I'm very new to fighting games in general and I have so many questions!

Who'd have thought that Voldo would have been one of the few original characters to make it all the way to SC5? Seems like learning him would be hard at first but would pay off when you have the upper hand because most of your opponents don't understand your character very well. This all being from my own beginner's perspective (though I did play Soul Edge way back in the day.)

Have fun, and keep your back to them as much as possible (he's not nearly so scary when he's facing towards you!)

At of all the Voldo guide's I've found online (all 3 of them, no lie) they all said to keep Voldo's back to your opponent. I'll remember that :D
