PSN vs XBL netcode...are they different?

Came across a rather surprising discovery yesterday. I've been playing the game online on PSN since launch, and it's been great. I get very little input delay, and even 3 bar matches are tolerable. (For the record, I thought SC4 and T6 were completely unplayable online even in 5 bar matches)

Now, I also got the game on 360. I got on XBL yesterday and played several matches. Most of them were 5 bar connections. There was an EXTREMELY noticeable input delay, not SC4 bad, but I'd say...laggy HDTV bad. I found this really strange, because every other fighter I've played online is better on XBL.

I'd just like to know if there's anyone else out there who's tried the game online on both consoles. Or if you do have the game on both consoles and would be willing to test a few matches with me online on each system.

Having both consoles, and feeling the same way as you about SC4/T6... I have the same general experience.

I have some theories on as to why, mostly having to do with the fact that SC5 netcode isn't exactly P2P. PSN puts no restrictions on server-based games, but MS does. For me I think it's literally just an extra-middleman issue.
