oh riri
I apologize if this is old news, but I found this quite interesting.

I'm not really sure how many have seen the video, but I'm sure most Pyrrha players by now have noticed the "guard impact" show up when doing her ce. I don't know if Aris found it, but his video is where I first saw any evidence of it actually gi'ing anything. The video is here, for those who haven't seen it yet:

so I was working on my Algol punishment video [by request] when I randomly found that her CE actually gi's algol's bubbles. so I did some testing on it and came up with this somewhat interesting video. I'll also include the description notes below:

and notes:

0:01 - this is kinda what normally happens.
0:07 - this is what happens when Pyrrha gets close to the orb
0:13 - happens also when Pyrrha gets close to the orb
0:21 - 88G glitch, punishing Viola's CE. very very strict timing... also Pyrrha CE jf glitch lol
0:32 - Pyrrha CE GI's Algol's bubbles
0:38 - punishes 2nd hit or GI's 3rd hit [bubble].
0:46 - GI's Algol's huge bubble [normal CE damage - 68]
0:51 - when CE is done early enough, Algol's bubble will hit him back [77 dmg]
0:57 - very rare occurrence when CE strikes the same instant that the bubble comes out, damage is higher on the first hit of CE [40], total damage is 97.
1:03 - VERY rare occurrence, same as above, except the last hit on the CE has the random clean hit factor... total damage is 105.

I've seen it happen before, and generally, it just stops the CE suddenly and you get nothing for it. I wonder what all types of move it can auto-gi. Projectiles evidentally. I know it can do Pyrrha's 4A.

the gi property doesn't stop the ce ... perhaps you're thinking of clashing / trading hits rather than the gi?

Happened against me one time:

Not sure if anything special happens in this case, but might as well share.

oh heh... let me rephrase.

I don't think the gi actually "stops" the ce ... the ce stops automatically if the 1st hit doesn't actually hit the opponent, same as a whiff.

but it does seem to have the green shield gi effect if someone hits pyrrha's backside

~correct me if I'm wrong
