Question about Algol

KiShiDo

[08] Mercenary
One small question. How was Algol able to wield SC and SE in SCIV if both swords were wield by Siegfried and Nightmare.

Never got that

Algol created Soul calibur and wielded soul edge before nightmare.
As I understand it he's actually using fragments of each blade. Other than that, just go with it. With any luck he'll be removed in SCV anyway =\

Well and there si another plot hole... Wasn't it said that Nightmare or better Soul Edge called out all fragmets of the sword and they fused together to be whole once again.

So Algol couldn't have a fragment... But it doesn't make sense... other characters like Maxi and Astaroth had fragments as well int heir bodies so how it was even possible that Sould Edge could be complete without this fragments

Algol being such a boss used Soul Edge to create peace around the world. However, it's evil powers manifested in his son by controlling his jealousy. Algol fought to get the sword back from him in the process killing him. To subdue the evil within the sword, algol tried using Soul Edge's power to create a Spirit Sword that would counter the evil. When he finally succeeds in creating Soul Calibur the ritual claims his life. But he doesn't actually die, he's stuck in suspended animation. Soul Calibur is imbued with Algol's soul.

Cervantes might have had a complete soul edge but not likely. When he obtained it he used it to collect souls. The sword was almost destroyed in a fight with sophitia, then Siegfried found it and it took control of him.

Soul Edge was never complete. Nightmare was attempting to collect souls to strengthen it from it's weaken state...but that never happens. In his fight with Raphael, Soul Edge gets struck which causes it to lose control of Siegfried. Soul Calibur appears somehow, and Seig strikes Soul Edge with it.

Zasalamel finds whatever remnants of Nightmare that still exist, and revives him. In hopes of fusing both swords so that he can finally end his immortality.

How algol comes into this story and how zasalamel influences the story in SC4 is a mystery.

But the curse that holds Algol in time, in a near death experience finally breaks. What causes it? Time possibly but your guess is as good as mine.

SC4 ends with Siegfried being forgiven by his sins by Hilde or whatever. -_- Siegfried then seals himself and Nightmare's body in Crystal. So if he returns, he will probably look the same despite the 17 year span.

But in SC 4 it was said that all fragments aroudnt the world went back to Sould Edge and Nightmare including the remains from Cervantes or Charade. But how can this be if Algol is wielding Sould Edge and people Like Astaroth and Maxi had fragments in their bodies?
Something is wrong there.

Nightmare SCIV
Waves caused by the clash of the two swords awakened the fragments of Soul Edge that were scattered all over the world. They flew to Ostrheinsburg, and the evil sword consumed all of them, regaining its true power.

Mitsurugi SCIV:
However, after he defeated some assassins that were looking for information about Soul Edge, he remembered the fragment of the evil sword that he had. He was about to throw it away because he felt that he didn't need it, when suddenly, the fragment had an unholy glow, and then it flew into the sky, heading west.

Soul Edge SCIV
The shockwave emitted at the cathedral had spread an evil energy that had made all of the sword's shards active, now Soul Edge called out to them and they returned both small and great. These included the being Charade and the smaller soul edge that had been fused together by Cervantes. These pieces had been scattered by Evil Seed, but now they were being called home. The sword drank it all in, and, for the first time in decades, was mostly whole again.

and so on

So how can this be? Maxi, Astaratoh and some other had fragments as well, even in their bodies... So how could Soul Edge be complete after all in SCIV and how could Algol wield it, if Nightmare had the COMPLETE sword

Well.. in the quote you just posted, it says that it was 'mostly' whole again, not entirely. Also, EminentRising has a point in saying that not all endings are canon.
