Hey everybody, I'm Jdplayer. Longtime Soul Calibur fan, short-time forum lurker. I've actually been lurking around here before I even signed up here, fine tuning my Nightmare for about a month now. I've been playing the Soul Calibur games ever since the olden days of the Dreamcast and haven't really let go since.

Soul Calibur V is probably the only one I've ever really considered mastering. Namely because I was, and still sort of am, a 2D fighting game fan (Though Soul Calibur and Tekken have been staples of my child/teen/young adulthood). I've had the game for months now and I'm pretty sure I may have run into a few users here (PS3, btw). I currently am trying (keyword: TRYING) to main Nightmare, Patroklos, and Xiba (Funny thing is, I don't even use Nightmare and Patty's actual characters, CaS's are more my thing.) and I've been doing...ok, but I plan to be much better.

I've upgraded from my old DS3 pad to a Hori Arcade Stick and have been trying to get a feel for it. Needless to say, it takes some time, but I've been doing pretty well.

Anyway, enough text, it's good to join a forum of fellow SC fans and I hope to battle some of you guys sometime. :D

There's loads of competitive info on game/character mechanics in all the SAs in varying levels of categorization, we've got online trashtalk/venting, and even an area for some CASes that may just make your head spin in amazement.
