Sugoi! Arcana Heart 2 Discussion... WTF Examu?!

After seeing a Guilty Gear thread, a Blazblue thread, and even a Battle Fantasia thread i felt like the "Video Games Discussion" sub-forums needed some sort of Arcana Heart thread, so why not discuss Sugoi AH2!


I mean it's nice to see that AH2 is coming to states but does it even matter since SAH2 is on the move?
 
Arcana Heart is awesome.

Nazuna looks fun.

Akane looks boring.

I probably won't get to play it unless I take another trip to Japan.

It makes me feel sad.
 
I think at this point they should be experienced enough to be able to release new characters that are fairly balanced from the start. However, I must admit that Nazuna looks like she has what it takes to be top-tier. Lol.
 
Waiting for a console release

now that the "FULL" version to AH2 is on it's way, maybe it's not so far off.

So far Petra is the only character I really want to play.
 
Petra has sparked my interest too. I still want to play as Kamui though, the fact the her 22A_B give her EX properties on some of her specials sounds AMAZING!
 
I liked AH, but it felt a bit stiff on the input. Hopefully that's addressed in AH2...Or I'm just crazy, who knows. I felt that Guilty Gear's inputs felt smoother.
 
You're not crazy. It does feel very stiff at first. But that's because movement in this game is very different compared to GG and most other fighters.
 
I thought Nazuna and Akane where the only new characters to be in SAH2 but I just heard theres supposed to be SEVEN new characters! I was worried about two characters being in a patch up but seven? that's an awful lot for SAH2.
 
I don't think I can find the video anymore, but I recall seeing something regarding the Flower Arcana in the movelist here. Here's my observations:

The Flower Arcana allows you to plant seeds, very similar to the Plant Arcana, except that it's not a floor trap. Instead, the user gains buffs from standing near the flower. The flower has stages of 'growth', likely which determine how strong its effects are; from a sprout to a flower in full bloom. In the video I saw, the 214214E super-flower gives infinite homing gauge at full bloom! It also seems that after a while of full bloom, the flower will bear fruit. What this does is still a mystery to me.
 
I know this thread is not that popular (4 pages behind) but I gotta share this. I mean... How could this happen:



look at that lag! its almost like the programmers didn't even care! Imagine if you where to finish the round with a super... -_-;

On top of that:

-No stage select AT ALL. Not even training mode has it.
-No soft reset.
-Button config does not use A/B/C etc. notation.
-VS screen loads again after selecting "retry" in VS mode.
-Timer still exists on character and arcana select screens.
-Tons of slowdown during supers.
-Music skipping.
