An amazingly fun little tourny in a shady, back alley venue. As far as I know, no one was mugged! Though Scranton's roads took Eltoshan's car out of commission and left my front wheels horribly misaligned.

Scranton is to Pennsylvania what Jersey is to the United States.


PS -- Confirmed: B.J. Penn is weak sauce.

I see KDZ and Hacker are at it again in the top 2. And InsaneKhent took 5th?! Very nice. How many people participated in this tourney?
 
This turned out to be a great little tourney, I'm glad I came out.

Mizuiro - I'm blanking on your name right now, but thanks for hosting and running everything. That venue is going to be pretty epic once everything's finished. Good match in the tourney, too, nice Sophie. And in the team tourney, not last place!!! $

KDZ - You're a beast, sir. I need to get some games in against you next time, I still don't think I've played any SC4 against you. I need to feel the pain firsthand.

Hacker Mike - Congrats on second, good match in the team tourney.

InsaneKhent - Great match in the tourney. I really like your Mina, it's cool to see people win with low-tier characters.

FearDaDonkey - Always good seeing you, good match in the tourney. Too bad you couldn't watch UFC with us. Next time...

Jaxel - I will reclaim my dollar the next time I see you. Damn Talim shenanigans!

AshnardZero - Good meeting you, nice Seig. Gotta get more games in with you next time.

Eltoshan - Hope your car troubles don't cost you too much money and you get your car back by this weekend. I'll call you about the Fairfax tourney.

Rondell - Good match in the tourney. Nice Maxi, just need to practice against Amy more. Gotta block 3BA...

Team Jer Is Trash - I can't believe you bums kicked me off my own team! Enjoy last place, serves you right! You should have known that just the mention of my name would guarantee failure.

Hope I didn't forget anyone. I'll definitely make it up to these on the regular, they're really fun and it's an easy drive.

Mizuiro - Thanks for organizing the tournament! If you are doing this thing monthly, I'll be there.

Ashnard - Matt, I'm gonna be a namefag and name drop, lol. Good to see you finally come out to an offline event. Great job on the placing as well.

Team Jer is Trash (including Jer) - Rico, definitely thanks for the ride back, getting stranded in Scranton due to an alternator would have really sucked. Piggy's stories are as entertaining as always. Jer, I have that dollar you were referring to now. If you want it back you'll have to go through me.

KDZ - Pleasure to play with you again. And thanks for all the advice, I'll make sure I keep bugging you at future events as well. Meanwhile I'll work on the basics. Hopefully I'll see you guys in VA.

Hacker - Thanks for the Hilde practice, it will definitely come in handy in the future. I would have liked to play more, but we all know that food comes first. We'll have to do more casuals next time.

InsaneKhent - I'm going to have to re-evaluate my opinion that Mina is boring. You made her look like a lot of fun to play with or against.

Jaxel - Talim sux, lol. You probably put a curse on me with that awkward handshake. That's clearly why my car broke down on the way back home.

It was a great little tourney, lots of casuals and lots of fun. Kinda disturbing that it ended up with a NJ winners bracket and State College losers bracket, we'll have to work on some improvements.

Here's hoping that my car gets fixed soon!
 
Thanks to Mizuiro for organizing and running the event. I had fun and will attend anytime you guys have SC4. Good matches to Jer and Ashnard. Very close ones could've easily went either way. And Eltoshan, I'm gonna have to take Setsuka a lot more seriously because that launcher she has is scary. Also, to Rico and Piggy, nice meeting you guys. Next time we should get matches in.
 
Yeah, definitely an awesome time! It was great to meet so many of you in person. I was pleased to fight all of you in my tournament debut!

Mizuiro- Hey, awesome job on the execution of the tourney! It was a real pleasure to meet and play you at this event. Next time, don't disappear so fast until I can give my thanks and farewells!

Khent- Great to meet you in person! I'm always up for a great match with you, just name the time and place!

KDZ- It was nice to finally meet you as well. I was glad I had a chance to fight you and see what a great SC player is made of. I'll double my efforts to present a better challenge. Oh, and lay off Captain Kuro.

Rico- Thanks for having me and Zhao down for earlier matches (and driving us back to State College), it was a real pleasure getting to know you and Piggy. I'll have more fun in store for Lizard Man, so be prepared!

Piggy- Thanks for everything as well, including the awesome gross-out stories. I will not sleep well for a while now.

Jaxel- You are very particular about your chili

Hacker Mike- What can I say? Awesome matches! It was nice meeting you, hope I'll see you again at other tourneys (we only had official matches. Casuals, here we come!)

Donkey- Great casuals. I didn't get to play you much at all, but I did fear you in the time we had.

Jer- Awesome matches as well! You're right, though. We hardly did play each other. I'd be interested to have another go at your Amy, if you would be so kind.

Rondell- It was fun playing you, bud! Awesome Smash game, too. You play Sonic like a champ.

Eltoshan- Ok, ZHAO, Mr. Name-dropper, hahaha! Good matches! You put up a great fight against our tournament's winners. 50-50, Go Team Gorf!

I say this now, all of you who can make it, try and come to the next Spawn Point bi-monthly. You won't regret it! With such low prices and hospitality, you'd want no other home than your very own Spawn Point!

Hay, I couldn't have said it better myself! But absolutely EVERYONE who can make it to the bi-monthly should. With the combine forces of SC4, SF4 and maybe more in the future (BlazBlue and TVC) I would like to rack in at least 30 people.
