Threaded buttons and SF4 TE

They should fit if the diameter is comparable to the stock ones. However one button close to the stick near the bracket is going to have a problem. The corner bracket plate is going to get in the way of the locking nut. So you're going to have to grind down the locking ring so that you can slip it in between.

Yes, they are too thick in height. That metal bracket gets in the way obviously and you cant twist the locking ring to secure the button. So the only way around this is to slip the ring underneath the bracket first then screw in the button. However the locking ring is too thick to begin with so you need to grind it down a bit. I used a Dremel tool with a grinding bit and it only took a minute or so to grind down the plastic just to get enough clearance.
 
I used a metal nail file. What you do is work the nail file on one part of the ring until you can slide it under this metal part, then you screw the buttons in rather than screw the ring on the buttons. In other words hold the ring while you twist the buttons from the other side. Very easy fix without powertools.
