I particularly like Shiba v2.0. It has a masculine grey/red color scheme. The small pattern on the gauntlets contrasts well with the large pattern on the breeches. In addition, the white tattoo looks quite dashing on the grey skin. He's an excellent work with great artistic balancing.
Gione Romero has a promising film noire reporter/detective look, but he has way too many details. Having patterns on the vest, shirt, and pants is too much. Settle with one, two only if you're absolutely certain. Give the poor bloke some full pants. Get rid of the flower, and swap the gauntlets for sleek hit-man gloves. Blacken the belt and gun. Fedora is optional. He'll be fighting crime with Batman in no time.
Tanaka is the least impressive. I see you were going for a different color scheme for him. The brown color of the jacket is drab, that's the first thing that you should change. Not even George Clooney could pull off that look. The pants, though nothing we haven't encountered before, are solid nevertheless. I do like the scar/bandage angle. Perhaps you could add more battle damage like ragged clothing, splattered blood, or an arrow to the knee. If you bring out the wounded bad-ass look, you might be able to differentiate this samurai from the crowd.
You've shown a marked improvement and made some excellent characters. Just keep in mind that wolves and old men get A LOT LESS ATTENTION than scantily clad amazons and fairies. Cheer up and keep up the good work.
