Vertical Whiffing

I recently realized that sometimes linear verticals whiff even without the opponent sidestepping (i.e. Algol's 44B, Cervantes' DC B, and Omega's 66B). How exactly would you set the situation up to cause optimal whiffage and could you actually fake someone out with it?

This game has wonky ass hit/hurtboxes. Whiffs are dependent on a variety of variables, including axis, range, hitboxes, hurtboxes, etc etc. "Setting up" one of these would be pretty specific and I can't think of a way it would help you.

If you're using Ivy, you can literally just stand there and Yoshis 2B+K, K will wiff. So you could punish in that way.

Side note: That's sum bs
