What does "Offending Player -> Report this player -> Unpleasant creation" do?

So here's a quick question that I'm wondering if anyone can confirm:

In the Colosseo more often than not, I fight people who have character cards that won't turn around during the versus screen. During the battle, they are a generic Male/Female in default underwear. I have never fought or marked these people offensive before.

Is Namco tracking the "Report Offensive" thing on their side and defaulting these users back to generics in the Colosseo (possibly ranked, etc, too) ? I thought marking a player offensive used the *default* character model (that is, the named character) and not some generic underwear CaS..... :(

Resurrecting this thread...
I was in a room created by a friend just now, and all his characters are with a grey thumbnail, named creation 1 and are in the default underwear. I have not done anything to mark him as offensive, and can't find a way to change this. He says he sees my CaS in the same way. There was another guy in the room using edits of the standard characters, I see his character with a grey thumbnail and the standard P1 costume for the character. My friend however says he sees the other guys edits as they should be. Has anyone seen this? I would rather see the characters other people intended me to see, and should characters indeed be offensive I'll deal with that myself. I would also like people to see my CaS, and should they find them an eyesore I guess they could choose not to fight me.
Edit: Also in that room I couldn't write in the text chat, is this tied into the character censoring?

It seems this is doing more bad than good actually. Obviously the reports aren't reviewed at all because some people who didn't do any creations that were much offending (if not at all) got some of these "issues". When these innocent ones are hit. the irony in it is that the CAS look half-naked on the other end. Isn't that more "offending" ? So I assume, like I just wrote, that the reports aren't reviewed at all.

I've run into a similar thing, which is one of my CAS getting her name (only her name) rewritten as Creation 1 on other people's screen; the same thing happened to an acquaintance's CAS. Everything else on the characters fine since they see them correctly.

For your information, my character, in ALL four costumes, is in full armor with clothes under the armor parts. The only skin she's showing, or mostly, is her face. (I only play Player Match so I doubt Idle has anything to do with it, harr harr).

Also, her name is Marian, quite a regular name. Considering PS's reputation in name censorship, I also wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't anything reported, but a stupid auto-censorship. I mean, the word "disconnect" is censored as "dis*****ct", probably because "conne" is the feminine adjective for "stupid" in French, and even that is idiotic as a reason.

I wonder if I'll get banned for this:

Hello,
I have a question about playing SoulCalibur V (Xbox 360) online on Xbox Live: If enough people think a character creation of mine is offensive, and chooses to report me using the feature "Offending Player -> Report this player -> Unpleasant creation," what would happen to my account? I've seen players with default character creations, named "Custom," and sporting the default male or female underwear model, as if their custom characters have been banned during online play, but I don't know whether this is a temporary or permanent sort of ban, and I don't want the same thing to happen to me. I'm the biggest character creator fanatic I know, so any major repercussions would be crushing to me, and, because I'm so into it, some of my creative expressions could be reported as unpleasant, so I want to know exactly what this reporting system does. Could I please have any official info, or at least solid personal experience, on what the reporting feature leads to, and the nature of any repercussions?
Thank you!
Don't stick a dick on Pappa Smurf. You'll be fine.

From what I read, it doesn't seem like it will be fine with only that, since there seems to have been false reports on people who did nothing wrong, but still got the consequences of it.

I play on the PSN and I haven't had any problems with the naked issues, only the name censorship. Thanks for the info though!

My idea of an "unpleasant character" is one with badly coloured eyebrows - it's my pet hate.
You can make naked characters or abuse the racoon tail and heart (or two spheres) as much as you want, but when you think your blond haired creation needs fully saturated yellow eyebrows I won't be impressed.

The person in your avatar has white hair and bluish-black eyebrows. Just saying.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I'm a shameless hypocrite!

Nah, they're black eyebrows really (slightly blue eye make-up) - because white eyebrows would just look silly :P
