I totally understand where you are coming from. I agree that most of my characters have way too many stickers but I am trying to reduce them now. Thanks for the feedback!

Cyclops looks like Cyclops. There isn't much I can say since he looks like the typical Cyclops. Same with Captain America.

Spiderman is nice because the stickers and patterns are kept to a minimum. It's a bit simple, but with a few modifications it can truly shine. Spidey believe it or not is a favorite Marvel character of mine. Good job on making him nice.

Subzero is nice, but the bottom half just looks plain. However, I dig the top half. The colors also need to be toned down slightly as he's not a superhero like Cyclops, he's a warrior.

Lu-Bu and Guo Jia are both nice, but the stickers and all just felt "slapped on". Regardless, they both give me ideas.


In general, don't just slap on stickers to force your crowd to believe it's Roxas for instance. Some people who know what they are want it to look "natural". Not stickered up. Basically, try to keep the stickers to a minimum and compromise "trying to look the same". Your Spiderman and Subzero pretty much accomplish this imho.

Thanks Koko Yoshi and Le Bello for the great feedback. I agree that looking back, I think I overused the stickers in many of these characters. I will rework some of these characters when I am a bit freer.

As for Spidey and Subzero, what suggestions would you give to improve their looks?.

If you want to personalise the recreations with stickers, perhaps making them character-appropriate would be a good way to do that? Something that character would wear, or something that would relate to them somehow? Either way, you've got a lot of good stuff, just hidden under a lot of bad ;}P

Below are pics of my recreation of Noctis from the final fantasy versus XIII. I used one of the horns to create the pointy end at the back of his hair (3rd pic) and another form of the horns (can't remember which one from the top of my head) to create the sides of his front hair (1st pic).

In addition to Anna, I recently attempted to recreate Sima Zhao who is a newly introduced character back in Dynasty warriors 7. I hope I can get some more feedbacks on these newly recreated characters XD.

Well Ditto to what the others said about a lot of stickers randomly placed. Overall, you make some pretty good recreations. I suck at recreations..... You do have some ones I really like though. Like Anna, Green Arrow, and Diao Chan. Also, you seem to be getting better compared to your previous posts. In light of this I tip my hat to you good sir.
 
Iruhime looks like a cosplay went wrong, sorry. For me, my biggest problem is her uniform which look too unnatural and snaps the suspension of disbelief. Other problem is the uniform-hotpants combo without skirt.

First of all , I'd like to thank all of you who have commented, gave feedback and/or liked my post and help this thread to get more than 1000 views. So to celebrate I have decided to showcase some of my latest Mortal Kombat CAS as I made a bunch of them over the weekend. I am looking forward to you feedback on these newly made characters. In this one, I used two pure rings to create the eyes and the demon's tail to create his serpent spear.

2. Subzero (Based on MK Deception appearance)

I have decided to tweak him a bit from my last post, I added blue-colored flames on his hand to create the icy effect and I also toned down the blue color of his equipments and added one sticker to make his pants look cooler.
