Raphael's SCV Command List

Ugh - so far, not a huge fan. Get excited seeing old moves (1B, for instance) but then see they are crap (no RO? lol!). Prep BB CH BE seems to be the go-to for CH fishing, along with 1K, possibly. Still have to do some more digging, for sure, but I'm staying optimistic for now!
 
3B is even on hit and CH. prepBBB is such a threat that they'll defend or use a TC/TS counter attack most of the time.
wow @ prepK~BE .. that extra kick doing like 40 damage holy smokes (for raph).

The damage is slightly different per prepBB vs 6BB and prepAB vs 6AB (neutral version are a bit less).
 
I like the counter game. 1K seems pretty solid, 22B is good (hopefully safe?) and Prep BBB is dece. 3A seems like a solid move, but is there anything guaranteed off of 3A counter?

Anything better guaranteed off 1K and 22B than 4A+B A? Sometimes BBB seems to hit, but you have to be crazy on axis, and not point blank, it seems.

If 2K or 1A or some decent low have OK frame properties, then we could have a solid CH fish / pokey (boring) Raph build here.

off 22B, using 3(B)~prepBBB is probably the highest non wall non meter combo. Not sure Raph is even that "pokey" even more, as he doesnt' have very good pokes on block. Good bye to all those -2 on block moves from SC4 lol.

His prep is supposed to be his big gun, so i'm trying to figure out the prep4 retreat aGI. At best it guarantees 30 damage from prepA(B) followup into more prep at strong frames or you could do SE A (guaranteed) into backturned mixups.

Did i mention most characters can't step for shit when backturned? Advantage raphael!
 
With poke, I was looking more at 6B (including prep), 2K and 1A for range poke. Still haven't had a chance to comb through all the frame data (will do at work tonight, lol) but he doesn't have huge damage setups (no crazy 3B or 33B shenanigans like others), just setup CH combos.

Also, boo 1K at -16? weak sauce. TC frames seem solid, though.
 
1A is 10 damage. Just barely double digits.

I have trouble moving around after 6B on block. The WR series are much more manageable (wrA, wrK, wrB all seem to be the pokey type moves that raph "should" have more of"
 
I dunno, I still feel like the range, and the little bit of step cover you get off of 1A isn't too terrible, but I won't really know that much until I play against people in person this weekend...maybe I'm just trying to force myself to be excited about something. I really wish the hitbox on 3B were bigger to actually guarantee the combo off of 22B / 1K stun.

2 things:

- No A+K command ? Strangely a lot of other characters also missing A+K command.
- "AMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" on 236B CH is very horrible lol. Definitely going to switch to japanese voice :D
 
any fan of 4K?
how is the tracking in scV i abused this move a lot in sc4

And as eu player i have to wait till friday evening to get my copy of the game :(
 
It's basically the same move with more or less the same feel, taking into consideration that pokes are a lot less valuable overall in this game. Using it as a quick check from time to time is probably a good idea since raph will never stop being situational.
 
He's got some serious imrpovement (obviously 22B, 3A, nice poke mid).

But his horizontals (especially 22A 33A) are a little lame : they're both unsafe and do weak dammage. I would have prefered 22A to be safer, as it only does 16 damage.
And 33A is even worse : slow, unsafe, weak dammage AND no reach...

Anyway, time to spam 22B.
 
According to the guide 66A+G command throw restores health every fourth time you press either A or B, 3 health against female characters and 2 health against male characters.

Anyone who says Raph is low or mid tier in this game is full of caca!
I mained Raph in SC2 and he is on par in SCV, maybe even better!
