PSN/XBL Ragequitters

Damn, I wish I could be as good as some of you. I have this problem where no matter how hard I train to master my skills offline, I can't apply them online because the moment get into an online match, I get very nervous and stressed with all my skill building up to it going out the window. I heard that if you get a little alcohol, it loosens you up and helps a lot. Maybe I'll try that in about two years when I'm able to. Until then, I'm stuck being Nervous Nyte.

that just means all you need is more experience. just go online and plays games. regardless of whether you win or lose, you'll eventually get more comfortable with the game. stuff like that happens all the time.

I was the same as you when I first started playing. It's like all my muscles would just freeze up. He is right about getting some experience, though. Try to get a bunch of player matches under your belt, crack your neck a little and just keep playing games. It shouldn't take long before that absurd nervous feeling goes away, then hit Ranked and pwn some nubs.

Try checking out the Teach Me Thread, Moose Barrage helped me out a bit with learning Algol when I first started out.

Keep going to offline events and you'll burns those nerves right up. You don't need alcohol to play well. Drugs can enhance your ability to play better, but it's a crapshoot. Someone whom I once met said he likes smoking pot before a match. Two months later he had a different story. "yeah, sometimes I play better, sometimes I play worse." It's the same either way. There are no short cuts in getting to the top. If you keep putting yourself in those situations which make you nervous, you'll eventually develop a calm sense and keen mind. A lot of people play the exact same way. You can almost predict when and how they are going to attack.

(It's okay guys, it was because his hands were cold.)

Back again after 6 months and playing SC5 like never before. I stumble across this kid named "MercifulAsh3670" on XBL. He invites people to play on his lobbies but as soon as he's about to lose, he shuts the server down and opens a new one. This happened to me twice so idecided to record my third match with him. You can check it out in the link below.

Thread cleaned and re-opened.

I just deleted 123 posts (7 pages' worth) of either flame or off-topic trash. Infractions have been handed out and as you can probably tell, my patience is not running very high right now.

If you start flaming or talking about off topic stuff again the thread will be permanently closed and you will receive infractions, and I don't care who started it or what he/she said, any participants of the flame war will be liable for an infraction.
