Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate

You know. i have sometimes the same issue on some 2D fighter...but after a while i stop thinking and just play with instincts instead relying on some tactics/strats.(this shouldnt sound like ill trust my luck)
Hope someone knows what im trying to tell lol

So with respect to DOA, I'm guessing you're trying to say: 'Don't Think, Just Push Buttons'. Something like that?

I refer to that as "Button Mode".

DOA is incredibly pattern oriented. Sometimes a persons instincts can pick up on a pattern faster than an active conscious state will.

Psychologists refer to that state as "Flow".

LOL no...not Simply"push buttons".
But sometimes you just need to act like an animal..on pure instinct..not just mashing buttons to hope something good will come out.
Like RIK mentions..but its somehow unique...and im not suggesting to some auto pilot set ups...which is only rins and repeat all the time.
aargh..im still not satisfied how i explained it -.- damn!
me am stupid today lol..sry

Even if Genfu could deal with Ayane and Christie, it doesn't mean he towers over everyone else overall. But I do agree that it still isn't that accurate. Pai, Zack and even Mila should be within the top ten compared to Kasumi, Helena, and Hayate (not in those exact spots, mind). I get the feeling that much of this listing is heavily skewed towards online play, which - surprise - the particular 'top tier' characters excel at.

Kasumi, Helena and Hayate are really good in 5U, they're all better than Pai, Zack or Mila. Zack & Mila aren't bad but Pai is mediocre. The "Top-Tier" characters are top tier because they should excel at both online & offline.

GenFu is the best character all-round in DOA5U with Christie up there IMHO. As much as I love Ayane, I don't think she's the best character in 5U. The listing is probably skewed towards online play because not enough people play the game offline and thus can't tell what's legit tech or not.

I'm not sure if anyone is a fan of female Tengu, or even a fan of Tengu's fighting style. I do hope that TN is at least making adjustments to the fighting style so we don't end up with a useless character. Ein seemed to have made the transition well, so hopefully Tengu-do does too.

i think i might just learn phase-4 cause nyotengu isn't looking to fit my playstyle at all. that is if i can keep up with this game. lately, soul calibur is taking my attention back. cause playing russian roulette in fight game form is getting annoying and a tad boring for me at the moment.

In no way is she harder than Akira. Let's be clear on this, you can still mash out strings with P4. You can't do that with Akira.

EDIT: As an FYI, all P4 teleports from hits only work after the hit connects, not at the same time. Don't be fooled by the Combo Challenge's directions saying to press P+K at the moment of hit - you'll never get it.

I like Phase-4's gameplay design. You actually need some commitment to play her due to the heavy reliance on the JF teleports. Her strings seem noticeably short than Kasumi's thus forcing you to have to commit to your moves increasing her sense of Risk/Reward. I personally wish more characters were designed like her and less like Momiji or Rachel for example.
