Project Soul wants to know your favorite characters!

Early this morning, the SoulCalibur Facebook page opened a poll to see who are the fan favorite characters in the series. The list seemed to have every playable SoulCalibur character in the list to choose from. The only ones I didn't see when I was skimming were the bonus characters introduced in SCIII and SCIV.

Considering that the vote includes Lost Swords character, then it is safe to say that this is for a future SoulCalibur VI character roster. Please note that this is not a confirmation for a SoulCalibur VI. It is only speculation on my part. If you would like to have your voice to be heard, then you should get on your Facebook account and follow the directions in the spoiler below.

Be VERY CAREFUL when filling out the information before voting. The form allowed me to manually fill in my information, but messed around to see if I could skip the email part and move on. I figured out the hard way that once you are done with the first name, last name, and email part, you are then locked out from editing it altogether. I ended up borrowing my Mom's Facebook just so that I could finally get my vote in. However, when I used her account it auto-filled her information for whatever reason. All of that was a pain for me, but the voting part was easy.

You can only vote for one character when you do this. All you have to do is click the heart when you're hovering over the picture and that will count as a single vote. Who did you vote for? Comment and let us know who you want in the next SoulCalibur game!

 

Ryu lots of positions have changed, but all of the characters are growing in a similar fashion across the board. Plus many characters take turns leap frogging each other.

I am still collecting data by the way, just been lazy about posting it. I will certainly post the final chart once it is final. Unless there is demand for an update, in which case I will do that tomorrow.

I do not expect any major changes in votes.
Kilik might pass Ivy 'cause they're very close in votes.Same with Siegfried & Nightmare.
Yun Seong & Seong Mina both have the same exact votes,289.I wonder if they'll consider her for the next game since she has a high amount of votes.
Only thing that frightens me is Setsuka.Her vote amount isn't horrible,but i wonder if it's enough to get her into the next installment.I hope it is.
Nonetheless,I'm satisfied with the results. My favorite character is definitely returning ♥!

She's in 20th place, and I'm guessing this poll is to determine the cast of the next game (maybe not but we'll see) and I personally think they will choose the top 25 or maybe more... SCV had 28 characters including Dampiere, so maybe SCVI will have 30... I know it could have less, or maybe more for that fact... I'm just hopeful that it will have a big cast.... Pyrrha is in 28th place and I want her back ahha!

Yeah, well I hope anyway! I think for sure that Viola and Z.W.E.I. will come back, but despite what the poll says I do think Pyrrha will come back too... I mean, Hoshino does love his Alexandra girls!

I'm not a fan of Z.W.E.I. myself like, but I am a big fan of Viola. I think Viola is a really unique character and has a unique moveset. I love her and Amy!

Hmm, I kind of agree with that in someways... I understand that this is a weapon based fighting game... But the fact that ZWEI, Viola, and Algol wield magical weapons shouldn't make a difference... The whole series revolves around two magical swords lol. Not to mention malfested people, a giant burning skeleton-thing (Inferno) and magical armor possessed by the giant burning skeleton (Nightmare SCIII, SCIV) so yeah.... The whole series is magical ahaha!

Even if Amy is more wanted, her and Viola are entirely different the way they fight, so I think keeping Viola would be a good thing... Both of them are completely unique! As for the Viola is Amy theory, I actually love that theory! BUT, seems that I want both characters to return I would rather Viola be Amy's long lost twin sister or something!

I don't think we'll see anything as soon as the poll ends though. And considering that only 3 or 4 positions have changed in the last 2 weeks, I don't think the final results of the poll will be any wild surprise.

I also came to this conclusion. Also, it may take away from T7 media blitz (from a business publishers pov. So I doubt they will announce/show anything - maybe next year).

High-school age protagonist appeals to japanese high school demographic I'd imagine. Youthful naivete is alright, but SC5 has overdone it a bit. They have out-talim'd talim.

Honestly, since they into the whole high school teenie thing. I'm just looking forward to the new Naruto Ninja Storm 4 game releasing this fall. At least, those teens are more harder edged than these tee hee's.

Not to mention, I love when the Naruto Anime breaks down the science of a particular power, spell or ninjutsu. It actually makes sense, as if, were it true, how they explain it, is exactly how it would work in our world.

 

Honestly, ZWEI and Viola (and maybe Setsuka because DIE! DIE! SCATTER AND DIE! WITHER... AND DIE! DIE DIE DIE!) are the only characters in the entire franchise I like for their actual character, rather than their moveset... but they're also among my favourite movesets too.

I really hope they can manage to cling on and stay in the roster, because if CaS were not a thing, I would have no issue using ZWEI 1p or Viola 2p all the time, which I really can't say for any other characters.

 

Nightmare, because that 2A+B looks sexxxxxxy.
