Hi, here is the first announcement about the next world game cup we will organize in Europe (France).
The last one on Soulcalibur was in 2004, when the American team won the tournament againt france in the team battle, and Aris defeated DTN in the single tournament.

This time, the competition is back in the same place, same concept, but with more cash price !
In the main event for Soulcalibur, 3 big tournaments will take place :
- the single tournament.
- the team 5vs5 tournament, open to any teams...
- the world team cup, only open to the national dream teams of each country...
More infos will come in october with the oppening of the official website.
We will have special low price for foreigners (flat, motel...)
Last thing, Malek (Evo's 2K9 winner and Captain of the french team btw) will be the contact for foreigners in this event. You can PM him, if you have any question.

Who will win 3rd edition ?!
CONCEPT
The World Game Cup's goal is to bring together the best fighting game players during 5 days. It is held in the renowned Palais des Festivals at Cannes, during the "Festival International des Jeux" (international games festival). This event will feature solo tournaments, team tournaments, and exhibitions matches. As it is also intended to be a show, all events will be viewable - for free - by the audience.
The World Game Cup will hold several "open" tournaments : any fighting game player can attend without prior qualification.

- the world team cup of Soulcalibur 4 is an exhibition independent from the main event with its own dotation

You can register on the website (open in November 2009), or directly at the event. We recommend online as there might not be enough openings on the spot.
Only the "Main Event" tournaments will have a cash prize. 100% of the subscription fees will go to the pot, bringing the total amount to over € 10.000 *
