Yoshimitsu General Discussion

well, that's the point. i don't switch stances to confuse the opponent, i do it because it's fun. i don't take online too seriously, although i'll admit my record is 111 - 8. truth be told, i live in japan so the connection is extremely good but the players mostly aren't. i switch stances at a distance and if i get knocked out of them... oh well, i don't really care. i play yoshi to have fun more than win, i just happen to accidentally win with him a lot.

yea post 6k in juggles i do a crapload of things. i just like screwing with my opponents because it's fun so i always do something different.

Arent that good ? LoL when I lived in japan from what i remember there was good competition everywhere... why would you even play online if you lived in japan ? ARCADES is where its at son ;) haha

and i was just letting people know it isnt a good idea to switch stances in a row if you play with yoshi to watch yourself go from sitting to humping to flying to high flying and sitting on your sword well thats your deal ;) 111 and 8 thats alot of accidental wins I probably wouldnt even fight a guy with a record like that because he probably would D.C./ that or you need to quit playing scrubs and play some real people...

I set record on this combo and I tried to AC it, i still cannot. I'm pretty sure it cannot be AC'ed if done deep.

Also want to mention:
DRG Dash gives DRG A more range. Same properties just more range.
Atleast two character spaces more.
 
yea that combo is sick with it.... cant really take too much more than the regular combo though... you mentioned more space well i've been trasitioning from INT stance to DRG after the a:B+K 66B combos and it is just SICK, my opponents are never ready after i finish the combo i transition stances sometimes twice, to flea then DRG i think when u transition from Flea to DRG the jump escapes lows and some mids.... oh well seemed to work gooood! Awesome combo by the way
 
good info red. and that combos pretty crazy. think ill learn it just to use against my friends. and even if you could, they wouldnt be good enough to AC out of it anyways =P

Are you sure? I've been trying to use that lately and it always seems like it has less range. The flag angles downwards more and has a little less range its seems. I can always hit with the flag in places where i just missed the DGF dash A.

why dont i play in the arcades?

.... because sc4 isn't in them. it's console only, remember?

there are a ton of scrubs that play, but are there are many good players too. maybe my wins aren't accidental, but the comp isn't as good as the comp i used to play against in cleveland. just imo.

SDGF, K:K - goofy ass JF, the standard is pretty simple to nail. The precise is the one Im aiming to master. (well, with what im doing after Kanga Kick. which is 8A+K)
Suicide JFs - Something about them, makes me wanna get them down too. I Have been able to get them after the first spin countless occasions. But most of the time Im late or early on the input. (Is it possible to do this without a spin period?)
MCF from Standing - I can do this from FC, but fuck me sideways on nailing this from Standing.

Not too worried about, but worth learning
Spin JFs - 4A looks slick in that combo, but Im aiming at 1A (from what I was told hardest of them to get) and I could put 1K one to work too.

Any assisstance on timing for any of that would be awesome, gang. Really the MCF from standing I'd jump my couch for. I love the new Yoshi, I'll definately be packing him to tournaments with me.
 
question, cause i haven't tried it, 4A: JF infinite after relaunch? I.e., can you 3AB 4A:JF relaunch 4A:JF relaunch etc...

I imagine they can air control it, but...what about in a corner?

you make comments like this and your calling people scrubs.... The damage scaling would be so bad you would have to do the move a total of like 10 times in a row... if you can do that you deserve an infinite....

Count to three when his somersaulting down then press K. That or you press K before he lands.

-really hard. Cannot do this on stick at all. 2A:5B is the notation. You have to make it look like A and B have gap in them but press them fast enough to make it look like it was pressed together. If that makes sense.

You have to find your own rhythm. Basically you have to press the inputs at the same time he hits the opponent.

tylergoodguy: You can continue it and keep relaunching but after the first, it's really not worth it. I would pay to see that though.

LoL i was doing the kanga flip set up since day one.... along with way better set ups now.... ask LOLO and CRAZYyoshimitsu ;) haha
 
Reverse A and B and you'll be able to do MCF way easier if you're using a pad. Also you don't have to let go of 2.
 
Thank you NeoRuss! I see where I was bitchin up on Standing MCF. I was holding 2 during the 2a and NOT returning to neutral. I play on stick btw :) I'll work on it.

rash: 8A+K,K:K_2A+K,A:A_Deathcopter_gamble with Tekken moves(i play Maxi, I KNOW risk :p) are my favorite follow ups this game after Kanga Kick. Glad you like that one.
