[Dallas, TX] Live it and Breathe it! (Check first post for info)

Hey guys, I'm sorry to intrude on your thread, but I'd like to know whether you'd be interested in attending a multi-game tournament (SSF4/T6/BB:CS/Melee/Brawl + more!) being held in Conway, AR on July 31st. Soul Calibur is popular around here and we'd like to host a tournament for it, but we don't know if we can get people to turn out. For those of you that remember me, we held another tournament a few months ago that had over 70 participants from 5 different states with a total prize pot of over $1000. Anyway, we'd love to have any of you guys come and kick some serious ass. Let me know if you're interested!

At this point we need to get our monthlies back on track in which we also include other games.

Honestly we should have monthlies in the Following Cities

Austin
San Antonio
Houston
Dallas.

With each city taking turns hosting. This in turn will force everyone to travel, thus making it fair. And since TX is being looked at As a spot for a POSSIBLE (and i stress that word) Nationals site, we need to make sure we're on the ball. So let's speak up. We Got monster's arcade that appears to be backing us up so what's up? What's the deal? let's get back into the game people
 
Hey guys, A.R.K. III (one of the largest fighting game tournaments in the South) is coming up on April 2nd at Conway Gaming Center in Conway, AR! We are expecting at least ~120 people (including 10-20 from Dallas!) at this tournament featuring games such as Arcana Heart 3, Blazblue: CS, Melee, Brawl, Project: M, SSF4, Tekken 6, Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, and more! We will have a recording station available for you to record whichever matches you deem necessary (just work it out with the station manager). Where do you live in Dallas? I wouldn't mind playing some live competition again. I live in Cleburne about an hour away from Dallas.

Hey dude, I live in far north Dallas, Plano area, are you xbox or ps3 player I've only played on xbox about 7 times but now I've been playing mk on ps3 but haven't even had time to play much lately. I still have not been able to play mavericks420 yet but we should all get together and play sometime.

bowldon, after some stuff about 2009 sc4 nats that i won't go into, the AZ, NM, DFW gamers largely retreated to their original websites through the NVGA. many of them would still play but do not frequent 8wr often if at all. you should make an account here: http://www.dfwgames.net/1/

and post up looking for competition. i hate to steer people away from 8wr, but i hate to see people not finding players even more. odds are there are still DFW people w/ NVGA who play.
 
Thanks lobo I went there and posted for some offline play for sc4 and mk9 so hopefully will finally get to play some good players offline instead of my offline friends who are scrubs and think they are awesome, lol
