Kilik: Sc5 Wishlist

Time to get our wishlist together for SC5. What needs changing, what doesn't? What do you wanna see added/taken away?

I personally would like to see a nice fast mid move added to his list. Maybe a couple more JF's would be nice. Thoughts???

Thats perfect, Ive always hated that kilik doesnt have a fast interupter. His 2A needs to be i14 or at least better than i23, and make 46B a mid instead of a high!! Other than that I think hes got great tools.

He can't have everything. Now he has 1K which is an i15 mid kick and it's also the move with fastest TJ frames in the game.

2A is debatable imo. I'm not a Kilik player but I wonder if any of the good Kilik users would prefer an i14 s-low over an invisible full tracking and safe low poke. Truth is 2A is super good in SC4.

Your right...cant argue with that! I would still love a fast mid string interupter. Even 46B being a mid would change things up a bit and give more oppurtunities I think.

for some reason i always forget about that damn 1k. such a great move too. 46b being mid would be crazy good lol but like Ring said cant have everything. they need to do more with MO A+B and A+B k. both those moves are total shit and have no use that i can think of.
 
if 46 b being a mid might be alittle too much with it being only 13 frames. Kilik punishing better than Sophie lol we cant have that now. i'm thinking maybe make 3bb a couple of frames faster.
 
That would be way too good. Ivy's SW 1K is 13 frames, and probably the best kick in the game, not only because of speed but also other great properties (huge range, safety, adv on NH and combo on CH) but they quickly toned it down in Broken Destiny making it i15 with less range =(

IMO Kilik needs to be somewhat toned down in SC5 (same thing will happen to Ivy, I'm sure). He is already close to being broken in SC4. Having pretty much everything except a fast mid for close range fighting he is a great turtle character.
 
For being a kilik player myself, I have to admit that he's pretty freakin spectacular. I don't even consider myself a master with him, and he's more dangerous than my main characters (Sieg and nightmare), whom I pretty much know what to do and when to do it...When I play Kilik, I know all of the moves, but I still haven't mastered knowing when to do what move in what situation. He might not be broke, but I guess there's a reason he's top tier and Sieg and Nightmare are middle-ish tier....

long story short, in just a few weeks I was already doing better with Kilik than with my mains which I've been using for years. His range/speed factor is what wins most battles for him. His damage may be somewhat low, But when you can poke them repeatedly without punishment, it more than makes up for his low damage. And for the record, his damage is probably not that low, just that I was used to the high damage of Sieg and Nightmare, so it seemed low in comparison.

Despite the fact that I play Kilik, I think he should be nerfed a bit. Shorten his range a tiny bit and he'll be balanced.
 
One thing I like about Kilik is that he's fairly newbie friendly, which is good for people to transition into the game. However, he's a bit too newbie friendly, and could use a few small nerfs.
 
More Just Frames, for sure. And hopefully they would be as manly as Asura Dance.

Heard you busted out GB asura JF for the first time last week. Congrats. On a controller Ive done it once....ON ACCIDENT, but on a stick I can get 8 out of 10. I predict big things for you!!

I played some Soul Calibur II casuals last week; it was the dumbest thing I've done in a long time. Like I really need to be reminded of how fun this sonofabitch Kilik used to be and how fast the game was. I gotta admit though I kept wanting to press B+K the moment I got put in disadvantage and sniffed a move coming at me but I would just shake if off by doing random Tribute A's and shouting "WOOOOO!!!" because it crouch-techs nearly everything and it just looks stylish as a motherfucker as you clip your opponent off of their feet.

Anyway yeah, SCV will most likely be ass in the tradition of Namco's sequels. Kilik can be the most broken character imaginable with an unblockable Asura and can have Hilde's ring-out potential but it still won't make me happy; I'd rather the character be shitty and fun (SCII) than overpowered and lame (SCIV) but that's just me. The game will most likely remain slow as balls, have little cancels/creativity and be dumbed down further so that casuals can play it and it'll once again be reduced to "anime convention" status.

That being said it's hard for me to come up with any ideas on how to make the character fun/better other than just harping about SCII for the billionth time.

Wow negative much? Why dont you post this in some SC4 complaining thread? Or maybe a Soul Calibur 5 wishlist thread? If your not going to post something relevant to the thread and insightful please take a step back and question whether you should be posting at all.

Completely groundless and futile attempt at a comeback, but what could I expect from a quintessential hater. If your truly not excited and already judgmental about SC5 and you despise SC4 what do you attempt to achieve by posting in these forums? Do you mean to fit the perfect stereotype of a troll? Now, lets make-up and end this discussion by agreeing to disagree so we dont further digress from the thread.
 
Soul Calibur 4 > all other Soul Caliburs, and I have played all of them. I prefer an attempt at balance over what most people consider "fun & fast".

Anyway I would like Kilik's 3A to but a tad faster, maybe i19 with stun on back dash counter?
 
I would like when I use MO to deflect horizontal attacks that it doesn't push them to far away use Fotd throws.
