I'm new to 8-way but I've been playing soul calibur 4 for a couple years now. I'm a Voldo player and it actually brought a smile to my face to actually see that Voldo is in SC5. Other than that I just wanted to say Hello to the community.

Hey, redemption0127. Welcome to 8wayrun! This is definately the place to come to for SoulCalibur. You've been playing SC4 for a couple years now you say? How are you currently playing? Like, do you play with your friends locally? Do you play online? We have sections here for everybody. My job as a moderator here is to help you find your place within our community and to help answer any questions you may have.

We have sections dedicated to every character in SC4 so you can learn and add what you've learned to help others improve. There are even some sC5 sections up now for the characters that have been announced. Feel free to check them out!

I am a Voldo player myself so it's nice to see that you also play Voldo. If you're an online player, we should get some games in sometime. I love to help fellow Voldo players improve. If you live in Orlando, FL that would be even better as online is generally too laggy to really show what you're capable of.

I play online on the ps3. I'm thinking about getting into local tournaments and stuff. And that would be great if you could help me out with Voldo and stuff I would greatly appreciate that and I live New Jersey .

That's awesome! It's always good to see a casual player wanting to take the plunge into competitive gaming. It's very rewarding, even if you don't win. The friendships you can make can last you a lifetime, the experiences can as well. You're in a prime area for tournaments to happen regularly. New Jersey houses the biggest offline community in the Uniter States. I don't think they are having regular tournaments as of now, but you can bet that once SC5 comes out, they will be one of the first to start having them.


In any event, which part of Jersey are you in? I've noticed there are threads for Central and North Jersey. You should check out the Regional Matchamaking: Atlantic and post up in your area and see if there is anything going on.
