In the game of SC4 Sophy, Aa,Bb,Stab, and occassionally B+K is all any good players needs... 8)

What's going on with the NBA has absolutely nothing to do with top 4 being ran on Sunday, nor is it about what's best for the players but what's convenient for OOFMATIC, RTD, and Mick.

If the players in the top 4 show up on time and are ready to go, it will get done in an hour. But why should plans that have been made months in advance be changed for 3 people?
 
My point had nothing to do with what certain players want, but with the attitudes of organizers in coming out and saying "it's like that because we say so" without acknowledging what the players want. It comes off as arrogant and has the potential to hinder the relationship between the organizers and the players.

Also I didn't realize that people who aren't coming aren't allowed to post their opinions here. You'd think that it would be fine for people who plan to support this tournament from home to post here too. Heh.

I only say this because I've seen you post before telling people to not post if they're not coming. Let them post.

And I like how you downplay the issue of the finals being held over to the next day by making it seem like there are only 3 players that care about it. There may be many more players that aren't happy about it than you realize.
 
i think they hold the finals because that way it will get WAY more stream views, and it is a favor to our community.

I'll be at Final Round. They been doing it this way for years. All I'm saying is have structure and not last min changes. We already know that FR, EVO, and DEV, however, what i'm saying is quit shitting on the Soul Calibur community because we arent SF, MK, MVC3, etc. That's been the story for a while now and it seems to get worse.
 
To add to that, back in the day during the WCM era we got treated much better and the Soul Calibur community held our own stuff. I'm not saying it's our way or the highway, just give us a little more respect. Even in France, things are done better for calibur. I'm sure SCV is going to blow in the beginning, but I believe things could be better. With people which is good for any TO, number are great for them. They are going to maintain no matter what, but i'm sure they would be glad to have 50-120 more people to help with any profit they make.

Their are going to be plenty of people watching this particular event because of Europe vs US, plus SCV will be going on that day also.

I'm sure there are more reasons, such as more money going towards the hotel and sponsors for making it be a 2 day event, by forcing players to stay there longer.

Not that there's anything wrong with that, it's understandable from a business point of view. I just wasn't happy with the communication aspect like I mentioned before.

But anyways sorry for still going on about this, I didn't mean for this to be that big of a deal to the point where I keep posting about it. It's not that big of a deal really, but I felt I just needed to put it out there.

I may or may not go. It depends on financial situations. I had about 400 to work with just for NEC but I lent almost 250 to my brother and I splurged a decent amount of money getting tipsy with some friends not that long ago (my error). I should still make it though. We'll see. 9th or 13th is poor in my eyes but its nice to know at least someone knows facts.

General Info:

I keep saying this but I genuinely have no interest in being apart of team U.S so I don't understand why my name keeps popping up for it. I will not participate in the team tourney by any standard.

There hasn't been any last minute changes. The plans have been the same since September.

I don't know how to play with her but you lost to it still. I can understand having to 'readjust' but there's only so much the characters can do. Get over yourself. Not going to continue this argument because it's subjective and you're not coming to NEC.

Hmm. And thanks Malice. It's good to know that things were set in place since September. But then out of nowhere, SCV was announced to be there, and things changed, and everyone decided, "damn yo, let's finish up Saturday so we can be on dat SCV ish Sunday. Word."

Unless of course, Filthierich wants top 4 on Sunday, since he's providing us with SCV. Then that's just silly of him and Namco. :(

Most people don't even play SC4 at this point, so they will be enjoying SCV. Others need to worry about not getting that ass beat by France instead of when top 4 is being held.
