Despising characters discussion. Start!

Well I find it hard to hate characters but I do have a few characters I dislike.
Dislike
Ivy (SCIV) - Ivy was originally one of my favorite characters on the female side until they butchered her in SCIV. Her outfit was atrocious. Simply one of the worst and desperate looking designs I've ever seen. Her new voice sounded bad to me, she sounded like a man. I much preferred the voice used in either SCII or SCIII. But I think they really fixed her up in SCV and now she is on my good side again. I'm glad they didn't continue her in the way they did in IV.

Setsuka (SCIV) - I just despised how they upped her boob size (for obvious reasons) and had her wear a more sluttier looking outfit. I really thought her SC3 design was great. It was sexy yet beautiful at the same time. In IV, she looked like she was desperate for attention. Come on Sets. lol

Tira (SCIV) - Her Jolly side was the epitome of annoying, even more then Xianghua's personality in my opinion.

Siegfried (SCIV) - Mostly his 1P look. That had to be the most ridiculous armor design I've seen. I much preferred his older armor style before they went with "AWSUM TASTIC ANIME SPARKLY PRETTY ARMOR". Yeeah... His depressing attitude kind of annoyed me too. I mean, I understand why he's so sad but seriously, I just feel like popping in the game and telling him "Come on Sig, smile" lol

Cassandra (SCIV) - Mostly her face. It just pissed me off. lol I liked her more angelic soft looking face back on the PS2 graphics. Personality wise, she's okay. Love a character with confidence.

Xianghua (SCIV) - Mostly her personality. Okay, her little cute act was okay in SC2 (for me since it was the first game I saw her in) but in IV, she just annoyed me a bit. "Just Kidding!" is forever burned in my brain. I also agree, she is the worse stereotype of an overly anime character. But I'm a little biased since I'm not a big anime fan or Weaaboo.

Raphael (SCIV) - I like him but I hated how they turned him into a vampire. I much preferred his classy French style used in SCIII.

Angol Fear - Horrid design in my opinion. Spiky boobs and overly anime eyes = BLEH! (for me).
Shura - Hated her design.
Scheherazade - Didn't like the design and annoying voice. WAAY too Anime for my taste.
Aurelia - Annoying bitch... -__- "YAAAGGH!!" God... I hated her battle cries.
Demuth - Poor design and wasn't a good representative for the Fan style in SCIII.
Strife - Ugly haircut... : l
Star Wars Characters - For obvious reasons

Used to Dislike but grew fond of
Yun Seong - He had to be one of the most annoying characters in SC2. I just didn't like hearing him talk. However, he really grew on me and even though his cocky demeanor still annoys me, I think it makes him cute and his style was always one of my favorites of the Soul series.
Zasalamel - In SC3, I just loathed him in story mode but that was because you had to hear him say the same lines over and over again with the characters. I also thought he was annoying because he sounded like he knew everything about anything. But he was nicely fleshed out in SCIV and I always liked her 1P costume in SCIII. Plus... He's pretty hot in my opinion lol

Dislike right now but am willing to give a chance

Algol - In SCIV, I loathed him. His design looked pretty boring (though I did like his hair) and his moveset was weird. Sorry, I just didn't like his abuse of shooting his damn bubbles (Bubbles really? Algol looks like he could do way more then just shooting obnoxious bubbles). When I found out they brought him back in SCV, I was disappointed at first but I decided to give him another chance since I hear they fixed him. His new design doesn't look that bad in my opinion either. So yeah... Algol... You may have one of the most ridiculous styles I've ever seen in Soul Calibur, I'll still give ya a chance in SCV. :)

Natsu - I'm pretty sure people have seen some of my posts of what I think about her but yeah, as a design, she's just too anime-like for my taste. But her moveset is awesome and her personality isn't too bad so I'm going to give young Natsu a try. :)

Leixia - After seeing gameplay of hers, a lot of her quotes really annoy me but I'm still going to give her a fair chance.
 
Angol Fear -- An anime character, in a realisitc game? I don't even...

Asteroth, Rock -- I don't like their chain-grab antics. Other than that, I guess they're ok.

Maxi -- Funky eyebrows. Spam-2-winz. I don't like the Elvis thing, either.

Mitsurugi -- That constipated scowl on his face, those "I'm 2 badass 4 u" match quotes... He's the Wolverene of Soul Calibur. Get over yourself, Mitsu.

Sophitia -- TAS B. Plus, of all the wielders of either sword (calibur/edge), Sophitia really blew the whole thing out of propotion. She gets her entire family to bloat up the roster. First, it was just her. Then, her and Cassandra. Now, we have two Patroklos, two pyrrhas, and Sophitia... who somehow became a demigod. All Siegfried did was spawn Nightmare. And poor Xianghua... she was the 1st person to wield soul calibur, and no one remembers her for it. She was reduced to fawning over Kilik... who never returned her feelings... and she was dropped from the SCV roster because she was "too old" to fight.
 
Ivy - The super safe move set and her insane range. 90% of her attacks either stun, launch or knock you down and almost always set you up for a mid air combo or stabs you through the ground. I hate her grab where shoots sword shards through your body and takes out half your health. Extursion Does it hurt?.Shes a nasty hoe with granny style white hair with a fatass and oversized tits sexy does she is not. Her story line is stupid and most of all the sword whip idea. Plus she gets to live forever.

Natsu - She is basicly a female naruto with glitter and nail polish. wooo she has a demon in her i bet it's the same nine tailed fox naruto has in him. Why is she blonde? Did she dye her hair? was hair dye invented back then? or is she a european cast away? Either way big whoop shes naruto.

Patroklos's hair, outfit, voice and the fact he says justice every other line it's like listening to narutos english voice actor say believe it every 5 seconds. lame protagonist.

Z.W.E.I - I hate his stupid acronym name his werewolf crap is tiring. I hate his emo pretty boy design hes so obviously gay even if Diashi says otherwise.

Voldo - Because hes VOLDO

Maxi - the spam master

I like Raph but i hate his preperation B.B.B.B spam drains the soul gauge and the fucking magic following Verticles

Cass - shes a pointless character whos only purpose is to support/protect sophi. i hate her annoying english voice and her move set can get annoying if the player is prick (online)

Astoroth because his style equals Knee/Stop/grab/launch/air-grab every one online plays him the same.

Also, if Ivy's doing that sort of stuff to you, you're doing it wrong. Summon Suffering (The throw you described) Does that much damage because it's the strongest throw in the game. Ivy's hard to learn, can be rather predictable if you pay attention, and most of her really damaging moves and combo starters are slow.
Though I agree about everything else except for her hair. Her hair is sexy in every game besides 4
But quite honestly, it seems you mostly just bitched about little things about characters (Mostly with Natsu, Pat, Zwei, Voldo and Cass.)
 
The SCV Kilik and Elysium, whats more to say? THEY'RE FUCKING MIMICS

Astaroth is kind of like a brain-dead character to me, since in every game he's reincarnated. I wanted to see him maturate and find himself but I guess not he's only worried about throwing you the whole fight. Story isn't supposed to matter in a fighting game but lets be realistic.

And I'm irked over there being three mimics as well. I feel your pain.

im not bitching or playing it wrong i beat ivy most of the time it's her style i hate why don't you just shut your mouth and stop saying i'm doing it wrong when youv'e never seen me play figures you would be an Ivy fanboy who just stands their saying you play bad when when someone bashs Ivy when it is generally accepted she is overpowered. and as for bitching those are ligit reasons why i don't like them. why should i like someone who is completely uninteresting and is a rip off of someother anime? and Ivy is ugly as shit shes also mannish. the little things are important character design is important it's how one aquaints themselves with a character they like to begin with. shoo fool
 
Mine is a bit of a rant type of thing. You will get all of it no problem.

Amy- Loli bitch. Why are you so popular? Your moves suck, your design sucks and your audience is unbearable because of you. I am glad your little punk ass is not showing up again.

Maxi- Bruce lee with an elvis hair cut? Wear a damn shirt you hippie. Plus, the only people I see play you are button mashing scrub suckers. Thats right, they suck scrubs. They are that bad.

Taki- The thing I hate about you, is the same thing I hate about damn near all fictional ninja, your not one. Seriously, you should know how to stealth kill these people. If caught, sure, fight. Why go up and say "Hey, Imma kill ya". Stupid jumpsuit wearing bitch.

Natsu-Your pupil is not as bad if only for the fact that her 2p is better than anything you have ever worn, but she is still pretty bad.

Z.W.E.I- Ok, you look fun to play with, this I can admit. However...where do I begin? Those clothes are exactly what I hate about "Popular" current japanese design. Why is it people think it is more "creative" to have less clothes? It is not. It is the exact opposite. The hair I do not mind as much, but dude, wear some clothes. I mean real clothes, not this torn up biker shit.

Cass, sophie and pyrrha (both forms)- You all annoy me. Cass, your an annoying slut-tastic p.o.s who fights makes the most annoying taunts. Sophie, you are a horrible role model for your children. Pyrrha, STOP APOLOGIZING FOR EVERYTHING. God, I am gonna get more sick of you in the weeks to come.

Cervantes- You look dumb. Bottom line, you look dumb.

she is in SCIV she can outdamage siegfried and nightmare and astoroth beat their range and to top it of she is safe as fuck. and i like at how most ivy player are bitching about 3B for sieg being overpowered when for the last couple couple years they've had The top tier safe character who in all honesty is not that hard to learn every ivy style involes mindlessly techtraping your enemy. and also there is a thread in the Ivy forum that says Ivy tech traps THE Complete guide.

She is a great character but totally beatable. Either Learn the match-up and GI obvious moves or eat iCS all day. I would call Amy overpowered before Ivy.

Amy came out much stronger at the beginning of the game, but near the end of its life (when Hilde and Algol were banned), Ivy was taking most major events.

I Know shes beatable i beat her lots of times just because i don't like her doesn't mean i don't know the match up gosh every one fucking says that like its the go to frase. iv'e been playing SC since # 2 i know how to play and beat characters i play online all the time i know how to play almost every character besides setsuka, amy, hilde and voldo. so you listen to me it's not the match up i'm not whining cuz i can't beat her. my problem is that she is safe and has better range then the people with 2 handed weapons and can out damage them. her whole style is to stun and set up for tech traps. which i find annoying and overated. and i do like to fight worthy opponents but i don't like to fight characters that are set up to deal with any situation. and the fact that it is so easy to play her i choose not to play because of how she has the ability to contend with any other character in the game with little to no trouble because most of her attacks stun and set up for more stunning or air combos i don't enjoy having to fight her because every other second you miss a block you going to have to shake the left thumb so much just to not get set up for more damage. plus amy? more over powered then her i mean sure shes safe cand can stun alot but shes not as bad as her i beat amy all the time shes not that bad to fight atleast she doesn't reach all te way across the stage and hit you with a whip attack that 90% of the time will stun you like extursion hell even trying to side step it is a gamble because she has a 8WR either 22b, 11b or 88b not sure of the code that she can do that does a very lengthy swipe that stuns you if you try and side step so it almost forces you to take the safe bet and guard every beggining of the round.

i didnt think SC2 sophie looked that slutty.. but her boobs did get bigger with every installment of the game lol
 
Ivy - I feel like I can't tell my friends that I like this series because the cover girl wears so little. It doesn't help that I find her disgusting to look at (Damn man face) and it only gets worse when I see her moveset. I don't think I'll hate her as much in SCV but still.
Setsuka - I dislike her personality and voice (English and Japanese) and I especially hate what they did to her in SCIV. Her moveset is interesting enough for me to not completely hate her though.
Maxi - I just don't like his design. High level Maxi is fun to watch though.

i wanna know why setsukas blonde i never played SC3 because it was ps2 exclusive so i got SC4 and was look who the hell is she lol
