Thoughts So far (Possible Spoilers)

I picked up SCV yesterday, here's what I think of it so far.

Arcade mode: I beat TOLS in SCIV, but I was still having trouble on normal difficulty in arcade. I might just be rusty though.

Online: I haven't played any ranked matches because there is nobody to play with. I did play a few unranked matches though. The MK9-esque turn based lobbies are pretty fun to mess around in. The only real problem with online is that the lag is HORRIBLE. Hopefully it gets better when more people have the game so I can play with people closer to me.

Story: Not bad at all, reminds me exactly like the pre-SCIV story modes. The only thing I don't like is that I had to use Alpha Pyrokolos who I don't like at all, also he is a douche.

Other: I hate that they dumbed down Ivy so much, the lack of whip state removed a lot of her moves.
I've played for 6 or so hours so far and the CAS selection is very limited.
The fighting seems much more fluid which is better overall but makes it easier to button-mash.

Here are some games I played.

If you guys have any questions post them up and I'll answer them.

How are character weapons unlocked? And do you get each character's complete set?

AND...where did you pick it up? I checked BB today and it's not out yet

I believe weapons are unlocked through story mode. When I met natsu/Ivy I unlocked one weapon for each. I only have 3-4 weapons for each character though.

How far were the people you played against online??

Does training mode allow you set the default starting position to the right side (2P side)? SC:BD has this feature and I'm hoping that they kept it in SCV.

I was doing training and set the first preset to auto attack 1, quit and reloaded and it was still on. So yes.

Also I just beat story and unlocked legendary souls. I'm now getting my ass kicked severely.

My question had nothing to do with setting attack presets...

What I mean is, in SC4 you always start on the 1P side (left side of the screen) by default. You can't get on the 2P side unless you do something like jump over your opponent. In the PSP version they included an option that lets you choose what side of the screen you want your character to be on by default. So I'm wondering if they kept that option in SCV's training mode.

I think he meant, how far away from you (location-wise). Lolz!

Ohh derp. Half of the USA players had 4-5 bars in the lobby then they had 3 during matches, the other half of the USA players had 1 bar. That's including one person from the Bronx which is only an hour away. There were also one or two Japanese players with 1 bar.

also it wasn't me lagging, I have 25/25.

Sorry, I just checked and you can. Hit start, reset position, reverse sides.
