[Seattle, WA] Ragin' in the Rain

Guys, is there a solution instead of going out after each game to connect the contoler for other players.

Btw GO the new X i awsome. After knowing her combos she is a boss.
Did they decide the tiers for this games?
Taz if you're talking about on Xbox I don't think so. And yeah Leixia is really a very good character. If you like to be offensive then she is someone you really wanna play. As far as I know there are no reliable tier lists. But I believe she can be competitive against anyone.

So I got my copy of the game and start digging into some of the new characters I like Viola and ZWEI but, I have a feeling I'm going to be working for wins. Not that I mind, those are always the best wins. The netcode is surprisingly decent too, especially compared to SFxT...

Yeah, of all the characters, he's the one that could use some rounding out. He does surprisingly decent damage if you hit though. At least a lot more than I thought he would.

The thing I've noticed about this game, and mind you it's my own personal opinion, is that it's a lot like Tekken for certain characters. You've got to set up your big hit to maximize your damage. All the while poking and prodding and getting some damage here and there until you get that big damage combo. With some characters you may have to do it twice but mostly it seems like those characters are capable or I should say have an easier time of setting that up.

Yeah, I think landing his damage is the biggest issue. He has a bit too much swinging in his animation for how short his reach is.

i agree. and if you dont know your match ups or opponents movelist, tricks, etc you will get raped.

Personally I'm still not convinced Viola is any good yet. I get hit by a bunch of her crap but I don't feel pressured by it at all.

ZWEI is weaker when you can see what he's doing, but he still can apply mindgames at a reasonable distance.

I actually think Raph has a pretty good matchup against Viola along with Asta and a couple of others. Zwei on the other hand I haven't really tinkered with but I just have this feeling that something is gonna be found with this guy that is gonna cause him to be really really good if not broken. I just wish people would stop calling him trash tier as that makes it impossible for anyone that may have interest in him to really commit.

Ivy does great against Viola... she can keep her out pretty well. Once you know the Viola matchup, they lose a lot of their tools for inflicting damage.

ZWEI seems to be in a SC2 Yunseong situation. Generally considered kinda bad early on but became more playable after things started settling. At least, that's how I remember SC2's Yunseong, that I played him so. Hah.

I've done Ranked online with only Zwei so far and I've done ok for being rusty at SC and being stuck in my usual patterns. I've seen a couple of decent Zweis online and Hayate (I think) at WGC used him pretty well too. I'll probably continue using him along with some other characters to fall back on.

Okay people, who all is coming out tomorrow for GC? I think it's at Dante's this time right? Taber, I don't wanna hear crap, it's a bar but you youngsters can still go. I know Cam said he's sick and I'll understand if he can't make it as I'm getting over some mutant virus myself right now but I have testicles so I'll brave through it as we're supposed to. Come on people, we gotta keep this shit going. Sweets has been hard at work putting in hours with that whore broken bitch so we can't let him be the best dammit! I wanna see at least 10 of us tomorrow and hopefully the same or more at my house the next day. Let me know what's going on. Holla!

Wish I could do anything this week, but my folks are in town so I'm stuck spending time with them instead.

I won't be able to make it either day... I've got stuff going on already this week... soon though... I'll make it out soon.

Yes, we're at Dante's tomorrow! Doors open at 5pm with the tournament starting at 7:30pm. $5 venue, $10 entry. Details can be found here. The last TrueSkill rankings from Mar 2 can be found here.

Dante's over in the UDistrict right? Any good parking over there? I usually go to the UW by bus because I live in the Northgate area so I've never actually driven that way.
