PM purifyweirdsoul on SRK, I play with him and a few others sometimes in Raleigh. He's purifyws here, but he doesn't check this board that often. You can also PM Villainous here, sometimes he has it at his gatherings.

I'll be heading through during Easter. I don't know what your plans are when I'm going to and from, but we might be able to squeeze something in during those times. Also, I will be in Winston for Easter so the ol' crew is getting back together for some SC5 action, which includes me, Ryan and Travis. It's a "longshot" but if anybody else would like to join us come up and we can get a good session going.

TBH I would say come to my gathering and play but we tend to just play Marvel and KOF most of the time at my place. Brent's will probably be the spot for Calibur and personally I think I'd rather have it that way, so players can know what they're getting into. But yeah for some reason he posts about SC gatherings on a Arcana Heart specific forum... -_-

I'll play SCIV if you guys want too. I'd play SCV but only pre-patch.
 
I don't like SCV that much anyway. I don't play SC much anymore so I unpatched it for offline play. Mainly I play WoW now. I'm thinking about relearning SCIV tho.
 
But... why? Fighting games are all about playing other people and being competitive and nobody plays SCIV anymore.

If you play WoW, then why does a single patch bother you? I've gone through a ton in MK and I stuck with that, re-learned the miniscule changes and SCV is relatively new so the patch really shouldn't take people that long to adjust to.

Actually no. My char was only buffed really. I don't want to play SCV competitively since the patch. I adapted to SCV went to a tourny the only fight I really enjoyed as against songohan. I'd only bother to get on SCV to play some of the better players fron SCIV at this point. It's kind of stupid to jump to the conclusion that I enjoy being OP have you evwr played WoW I'm guessing not or either you had no idea what you were doing because they try to keep a balanced game.when they patch a game it doesn't fuck everything up. I started in 4 played both and I don't enjoy 5 as much. Maybe after the patch the game some more get everything fixed and balanced and produce stable frame data maybe I'll try it again. No worries I'm a fast learner I'm sure I'll catch up.
 
No problem anytime. Why didn't I see you play SCIV? Also why have I never heard of you? Hmm the more questions I ask the less important your opinion gets. I've played both so I know what I'm talking about. You seem not too, considering that you obviously know nothing about WoW yet you said something about it. I play asto, my character isn't and wasn't OP. Which he was buffed (made him better). The only good things about SCV was upgraded graphics, just guarding (which is amazing), and a better net code. Which it was fun to troll all of the lag scrubs from SCIV. SCV just isn't living up to SCIV for me game play wise. It's most likely more than you can fathom but hopefully you can at least mildly understand what I mean. BTW those first two questions weren't fully rhetorical so feel free to answer them.
 
This thread got real dumb while I was away.

Dale probably played SC4 for a bit like everyone and just fell off in the mass exodus to other games people actually played. He also pretty much lived on WoW in one of the best guilds around for quite a while, so don't talk to him like he's an idiot. He might be easy to beat up in fighting games (<3) but he atleast knows what he's talking about.

Also whats the point of playing an outdated iteration of a game? If you don't care about the competition or playing other people, why not just go play single player games? The only point of fighting games is to play other people really, so playing an older version is really just a waste of time unless you play smash brothers.
