Celmisia (my manga project)

More random ideas

Late into the story, the 3rd Organization, Ergon, decides it is time and attacks Ancora , in a full blown assault, unlike the first time.

Focusing on Ancora first, the school is engulfed in flames, and Faith witnesses her fellow students and teachers transform into monsters in front of her eyes, thanks to Rebecca's doing of spreading a mysterious pathogen throughout Ancora that causes the transformation.

She has no choice but to fight past them and flee the facility. On the way out, she tries to look out for Lilliane, but fails to see her.

the basic idea is interesting but Rebecca doesn't spread pathogens or anything like that.
i forgot to put this up too;
Rebecca is a 14 year old girl. She's always calm with a blank expression on her face. She seldom speaks even when spoken to as well.

Her special ability involves manipulation, deception, and anything that revolves around the two. She has the ability to talk a well off person into suicide. She can convince someone to hate the only person they ever loved. because of these abilities Rebecca is one of the best and most intimidating members of Ergon. If someone manages to see through her manipulative techniques then she has an persona that she can summon in the form of a very large Raven. The raven itself has the power to demolish anything that opposes it's master. If a person can some how manage to get past Rebecca's persona then they get to fight her themselves. No one has ever seen her fight for the sheer fact that they rarely get past her manipulation techniques but her constant coolness seems to state that her fighting is even more of a threat than the first two.

Thats one scary antagonist, indeed. As they say, the mind is the greatest weapon, so she could be using that to her advantage.

My character, Yamase, could try to read her aura with his ability (see his profile), but fails. All he senses is a feeling of coldness, darkness, and despair about her.

Im curious about what lies beneath the schools though, in those caves.

Marcos would see through her head games easily, lol, but actually fighting her is another matter.

Perhaps someone who is very good with magic, like a Alchemist, Hexer...along those lines?
there's two main ways that i can think of how to defeat someone like Rebecca. They are hard because they involve finding out about her past and the reason why she is. and that's if there's anything wrong. the other thing is to have some good fighters against the raven and her.

EDIT: Sorry, I'll add these:

And Rebecca will have Cecelia with her, too...

"Sherlock Scan" eh? =D Sounds worthy of the great detective. He could be very helpful in this case. Even more so if he can fight (can he?)

Oh yeah, he's got a revolver. Boom headshot!

Always wanted a character that can do that, but it would never work in my own personal stuff. And it's much more fun than has-special-attack or can-shoot-ice or whatever.

Question, and this is only because I just got done watching Darker than Black (which is excellent); Are there any costs to a character using their powers? Or even having them? Like yeah, Marcos can read people but other than a six-shooter he can't really fight.

agreed!

haven't seen Darker than Black. there's not really a toll for any of the lesser fighting abilities. some others have range restrictions but will rarely have a heavy penalty for using powers maybe except for exhaustion but that happens to everyone.

Marcos will have a hard decision to make, too.

True, and you don't need to be exactly like them. Just wondering if there is any limit to the powers or their use, limits provide some tension. Look at videogames. Once you get a devastating attack with no penalties for using it, how fun is the game then?

yeah. true. i won't have any OPness like that given the "BOSS" characters where the fact that they have immense power to no ends is tension for the hero characters.

Perhaps Rebecca's powers could run on negative emotions. The stronger they are in the area she's in, the more deadly her powers will become. Conversely, if positive emotions are rife, her strengths will diminish to some extent.

i don't even think that has to be linked to her powers. if she's just around positive emotions like that period she could become unstable. but it depends exactly on what's happening.

Don't "Bleach" this either, lol. "Oh I see you have this super awesome technique" "Well then let me employ this new technique that will beat yours" "A ha, but I didn't mention I have another technique that makes yours look wimpy"

I hope to see Rebecca's backstory up soon =).

I do as well, would help trying to write her. Though apparently, and maybe conveniently Vince has given Rebecca a power of deception. So I guess I could write her any way I want to around Cecelia and it could just be explained that she was deceiving her the whole time. Feels cop-out-ey though.

EDIT:

EDIT : Oh, and how Ancora looks like. We've been talking characters so much, kinda forgot about environment and locations =P

Don't know about you, Luneth, but it's not really a big deal to me. Like this: Cecelia doesn't care what the classroom or the building really looks like, but she does care how Marcos describes it as "majestic." Then, you imagine a immense, fantastic building, and paint a better picture than any description I could ever give. Though I suspect we'll learn more in Vince's drawings.

did i tell you i hate bleach? so no worries on that. and i'll start on her back story soon then. haven't even given it much a thought since i didn't completely plan on bringing it up. not before she joined Ergon anyway.

Not to get off topic, but the first three seasons I thought were okay. Then it got ridiculous.

Yay! I hate writing other peoples characters! And I am curious to see why she joined Ergon. Spent some time today working on how Marcos ended up joining Ancora, and how Cecelia ended up there.

Oh and Luneth, I lowered Cecelia's age to around 10 or 11.
