That's right, you need one set, he has to knock you into loser first, then beat you again.
You've got this babe, 3-0 him. x

Good luck to Aso, but I'm a little biased, lol.

Sure, we can play this evening! =)

So, I have to win one FT3, and Asodimazze has to win two FT3s because he comes from losers, right?

Yes, I have to beat you twice to win the tourney....I need tons of luck lol xD
BTW, tomorrow I'm going to play an offline local tournament here in Italy and this evening I have to spar with a friend of mine that will also play in the offline tournament so I don't know if I'll be online.
Is it a problem for you if we play the GF on Sunday?

I'd also like to say:

Thank you to everyone who participated in the tournament. It seems you have all enjoyed meeting new players to fight against and also learning things. I am glad I ran the tournament this month and if you want another one then post here if you are in support of another tournament.

Thanks for playing.

The tournament ends, Kalas is the champion!

Asodimazze 3-1 Kalas to reset the bracket;
Kalas 3-0 Asodimazze in the final set.

Well done Kalas, you played great throughout the whole tournament and totally deserved this victory, I hope we'll spar again one of these days!

I'll upload the videos as soon as possible :)

I will try to see what I can weedle out of Jaxel for a prize - although I don't see him putting out :P

I just watched the videos. The first set very entertaining, with close matches. I hope Kalas won't mind if I give Asodimazze some advice against broken Leixia :P

You were getting killed by Leixia's 66BB all the time. This is one of the best backdash killers in the game but you can step the second hit and whiff punish her. That will force Leixia player to use only 66B and I think the second B cannot be hit confirmed. Also punish her 3B and 33BB with K, don't let her get away with unsafe moves. Try to JG 66AA.

I think 66BB was your main problem in these matches, I saw you like attacking at disadvantage after pushback moves, but 66B will still reach you and CH if you try to attack or backdash.

It's a funny matchup, Asta can play high risk high reward all day long, since even if he guesses wrong, the risk/reward ratio is in his favor because of Leixia's weak damage.

Thanks everybody, I had a lot of fun! Thx for all the matches and new experiences!

Well, I was expecting something like a ticket to EVO. =P

Yeah that's so true, especially with Astaroth. The damage difference is INSANE here. I guess in one year every Astaroth player will be able to whiff punish Leixia's feints with 22B BE on reaction...
And I didn't know that his 66B BE absorbs so much stuff. More 2K I guess.

Thanks for the advices Ring!
I have to say I don't know pretty much anything about Leixia, but it wasn't fair to postpone the final just to study the MU so I played anyway hoping for the best xD....I'm sure your tips will help me in the next tournaments =)

In the future I'll be more prepared Kalas, prepare yourself! :P lol ahah

It's sometimes possible to "confirm" it by seeing in advance that the first hit will be a counterhit, like when people are backstepping or randomly throwing out moves from a distance. Happens more often than not vs aggressive players.

Nice tournament guys. Thanks Mage for running it for me. I had more than enough with the 2 American tournaments.

Now that it's over, I'll unsticky this. Feel free to keep discussing though.

No problem UW, thanks for changing the title.

I'll be re-opening sign ups for another tournament in a week or two, so keep a look out.

I Hate To Admit This But Even Though I Got My Ass Kicked :( I Really Had Fun & For This Being My 1st Tournament Ever I Can Say That Everyone Who Participated In This Is Majorly Skilled So Well Done Every1 ^^
Also Congrats To Kalas They Deserve It :sc5lei1:
