Tekken 6 PS3 Discussion

most of you know it's coming out for the ps3. whether it will also be available for the 360 we don't know yet (it's not announced officially, only the ps3 version is confirmed!). some say it will include the new t6br update already (but i think it's gonna be a DLC later after the release!). there is not even an official release date.

it shouldn't be coming to 360. Its a PS3 exclusive title.

But damn, if it were to come to 360, well. I have no reason to want a PS3.
 
I want it now.
I kinda hope it's exclusive, since the PS3 is the best system ever made, and it deserves more exclusive titles.
 
Well the arcade version would be a slightly different build to the PlayStation version - i.e. they are using different hardware. Therefore you can understand the concept that the PS3 version is in fact a 'port' and thus would need to be optimized for the system.

Lots of reprogramming, debugging and well...making us wait longer cause it's fun like that.

I can wait...in no rush at all..I just wish BlazBlue would be coming to consoles alot sooner than I assume it's going to *sigh*

Oh, and I also don't see why it wouldn't be exclusive considering the fact every Tekken has been on Sony's console exclusively. Then again, you never really know anymore do you.
Sucks for people who bought the console specifically for that game but hey - you were stupid enough to spend that much money on one game...add a little cynicism to your life and harbor resentment to these companies - they don't love you.

the arcade version is running on ps3 hardware, you can see the ps3 xmb when the cabinet starts up.

adding extras and stuff takes time though.
 
That I didn't know. Well they're just kinda taking the piss a bit now really.

Any idea what 'extras' we get?
 
^that and probably a new ps3 specific mode like tekken force or devil within plus standard modes like survival, time attack etc.

There's only one saying that comes to mind when the words Namco and online are used together in conjunction.

Im being really hopeful for this game as well. I hope it totally rocks, but I'll get it either way.

Lards and Alicia seem like amazing new characters *_* good job Namco!
 
I think the date would look more like October '09 for Japan and December '09 for US/EU. I would have liked to have gotten Tekken 6 on the PS3 this Christmas or early next year, but I'm glad Namco pulled that idea since Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion was already being made. I'm pretty sure Tekken 6: BR has already went through location testing, so we should be getting a home version I'd say anywhere between Summer and Winter of '09.

*sigh* Now if only SEGA AM2 would announce a home version of Virtua Fighter 5: R :(
 
No it'll be PS3 exclusive, just like always.

I can't freaking wait.

Oh and PS3 >>>>> Xbox 360 by far.
