Personal character preference list and why

You button mashing scrubs.

It amuses me how far from the truth these misconceptions are. I find Maxi to be one of the most complex characters, and this is coming from someone who likes to use Alpha Patroklos (though he's complex in a different way).

It's the same with Viola. Everyone seems to think she's some braindead, game-breaking, OP character who relies on her ridiculous mix up pressure to deal unfair amounts of damage from safe set-ups, when she's... wait, actually, that sounded about right.
Please don't take this comment seriously and start telling me how easy it is to beat Viola.
 
Maxi's can be annoying sometimes but I wouldn't necessarily say they are overpowered. If you can try to break up his combos (JG, side stepping verticals, etc.), fights can go your way as well so long as you keep on your toes. At least, that's how I see it.

i hate that ppl think hes a fair character and think it takes any skill to use him. lol and yes i am being serious. you guys can think whatever u want i doesnt matter to me. i was just saying what i think. also why are you all getting so upset. you think he is fair and takes skill that is fine i dont care. i still think he is the most bs chara in the game

i dont need it but hes to dam fast with that much power and you can do all o fhes move with no skill
 
You do realize Natsu does more damage on average than Maxi right? i10 that does 42 damage, half life meterless combos, 65 damage command throw. Maxi has none of that.

i dont think u play the game enough. like i said i dont care what u guys have to say. i think he takes no skill and is bs. i mean i made a character called im too cheap with his style for a reason lol

Yes, you can mash buttons with Maxi. Is it a good idea? Not against a good player. Good players who KNOW how to use maxi and aren't just spamming buttons takes a ton of skill. If you don't think he's complex, just run through his move list and his stances. TBH I wanted to learn him but I found him a tad too hard for me.

Fight against a competent Maxi and THEN tell me he takes no skill..

Cheap/hated
1. Maxi: if u ever wanted to play a fighting game and win but just pressing one or 2 buttons play scv and pick maxi. hes too fast can not stop attack and can all been done with one button, maybe 2 if u want to get crazy. A no skilled character
Asty: If u want to try a little more than maxi than pick asty. Way op and just grab spam. he can kill u with 2 fucking hits. To many grabs way to long of range and with that much power and range to fast to.
3. Viola: i always was on her side until recent things i have seen. She can just nonstop attack you where all you can do it block for ever. Unless you can JG the fuck out of her you'll spend 3/4 of the time blocking and being grab.

I find it when you dont let a Maxi player take control of the ring...they pretty much freeze up...unless they're defensive type Maxis' ._.;;

I'll admit I used to have a mindset like this, then I actually learned the match-ups. I know that you don't give a damn about actually improving and would rather call anything that you can't beat "cheap," but if you have a miraculous change of heart, why don't you try to learn these characters yourself. Weaknesses become a lot more obvious when you're actually playing a character, and if you main a fast character like Natsu you shouldn't take long to find ways to exploit them. You'd be amazed at how much a button-mashing Maxi actually leaves himself opened.
