Leixia Q&A/General Strategy Thread

Today my opponent JGed 3B+K and i hopped over their punisher with 3B+K kG....i then got a back throw.

If you try to punish mah non JGed 3B+K, and i do kG, with a CE then i will hop over you. I WILL HOP OVER YO SILLY CE, YOU WILL WASTE DAT METER AND I WILL GET TO PUNISH YOU.

Leap frog is fun!

EDIT: i thought 3B+K was -12, thats an apat set up. Might look into the JGed version. so for apat i wonder if the player will hesitate when trying to punish her with a CE on just 3B+K. hmmm

I'm pretty sure 3B+K is -11, I don't remember JFT punishing it or Leixia's CE punishing it. I'd test it real quick, but my disc got stolen at NEC, so I can't.

Let's talk about the B+K series (Hou Lee).

I like using after a throw (A+G) for a 50/50 mixup, but I think that's not the only way I should be using it. Any tips?

leixia's has a very good post GI game......just saying.

1A/1(A)
iFC 3B/iFC 3bB
2A+B/2A+Bg
FC A+B/FC A+Bg
B+K
44A/44(A) (slight)

i guess this could be one of her central pros (?)

any comments or feedback for this would be cool.

EDIT: it seems that these are all meant to trick the opponent to waste their meter in order to cripple their offense. it seems like leixia would rely on this in order to balance out their offense with her low damage output

Maybe Natsu can RCC A:6.
Leixia is in crouch not Natsu.

After most of her juggles you can do it, or if you know your opp. is using a long range high to stop movement. Otherwise it's not very amazing.

It has been brought to my attention that I forgot to cover post GI in LL... I like 44A/44[A], 3B/33BB, or throw personally. You can do 2B+K too I guess if you expect them to reGI

I've taken a rather long break from SC.

I started playing around online again. Not sure if I'll stick with it, but some of you may see me playing again on the coming weeks.

I'm no farther on those video projects than I was 3 months ago. Would anyone rather I just make a big thread and explain it the old fashioned way?

In other news, I quit SC because my data got corrupted. 600+ hours, all titles, all equipment, fast clear times, rank A1, 70% + win rate, and about 20 Characters down the drain. Some of those custom characters took 5+ hours of work.

I didn't even rage when it happened. I just sat there, jaw agape. I quietly got up, took out the disc, put it away, and walked out of the room.

nice story ^^

I'm not sure if my new signature has any comedic value. I just made it as a reflection of my time on this forum since SCV's release.

This Week: Finals (yay engineering)

Next Week: I'm just going to do it the hard way... Option-Selects and Shenanigans thread shall be made (or at least started on).

No fancy videos with cool graphics like I planned, so grab a cup of your favorite beverage, and put on your reading glasses, cause it's probably gonna be a loong thread.

Hey everybody, I think I might have found an Easter egg with Leixia. I'll explain:

I think there are two different kinds of blockstun that her 44K can have.
Normally 44K leaves her at +0 on block. This is the normal situation. For example, Hilde blocks Leixia's 44K and does WR K afterwards which trades with Leixia's BB. Hilde's WR K and Leixia's BB are both i14.

However, there are some situations where Leixia's 44K is an almost-forced-block and leaves her on +2 in these situations. One set-up that I tried is FC3B (on hit) ~ 44K which can only be evaded by rolling to Leixia's left. When the opponent blocks her 44K after FC3B, Leixias has + frames on block!! For example, Pyrrha blocks Leixia's 44K (after getting launched) and does WR K afterwards which trades with Leixia's 3B. Pyrrha's WR K is 15 and Leixia's 3B i17!
Also if the opponent is a character with a generic i12 FC2A, Leixia's 2A will beat it (or very randomly clash). Since FC2A's are i12 and 2A's are i13, Leixia's frames after 44K in this situation must be +2 (or at least +1 if it clashes).

Try it. If Leixia does 44K normally and 2A afterwards, she'll get hit by an interrupting FC2A.
If 44K works as a "forced-block" after FC3B, she won't!

It's weird, I don't know why this works, but it works.

Also I think 44K is quite good as a FC3B follow-up.
- if they don't block it's 30dmg (56dmg with FC3B) and you still have your opponent at close/close-to-midrange unlike the 6A+B follow-up where they can fly one mile away from you
- if they roll it incorrectly it's 33 dmg (59dmg with FC3B) + the point above
- if they roll it correctly Leixia is still completely safe on 44K-whiff (she's at -1 assuming your opponent gets up immediately after the roll)
- if they block it: Leixia has achieved to break 1/8 of the gauge and is on +2.

What do you think?
