East Coast Throwdown 5 - Results & Aftermath

Despite me only being there for like 24 hours and sleep deprived to hell, I had an amazing time at ECT. General shoutouts to everyone who showed up and supported our scene.

Jonnitti - BLAT BLAT BLAT THANK YOU BASED MARGINAL THIRD TIMES THE DICK. You're the man. We're always in for a good time when you're here and you really are a member of the community that I feel people don't give enough recognition for. Despite Injustice fun times I know you're always here to support Calibur.

Sandman - You'll have your money the next time I see you c: I won't turn into the next synraii i swear, BUT IN OTHER NEWS, it was great to see you again and its always a fun time to chill and drink soda and shit with you. Keep on whiffing. Or just play who you want, you're a good enough player to excel with both of your characters at this point. Also our pool was retarded.

Omega - Your money match with Sandman was one of the highlights of the night, and I also have no idea what to expect from you sometimes now, talking with a girlfriend in a closet was quite the experience. I'm glad we both came out that night.


IRM - Thank you for covering my room and making me come to ECT in the first place, good to see ya, good to play ya, good to bop ya ;)

Woahhzz - You're pretty good i guess. Great to see you again and laugh at IRM's lack of just frames. Should've played with you though, next time for sure.

AlexTakesAction and Tabris - It was pretty damn cool to meet you guys and to witness how into this stuff you guys got to be. I seriously hope to see you guys at summerjam.

Sakurai - It was great to finally meet you! It wasn't great to only meet you for like 20 minutes and then you had to go. :( I hope I see you sometime in the future

Zeroeffect - Fuck what other people say, you're a damn good player and I have no problem seeing you rise to killer status. Damn good games.

Sporko - Good to meet you, you drunk bastard. :)

Thermidor - Please take more of IRM's money.

The Assassin - Great to finally meet ya and I hope you've been labbing hard since you've left, I can see you are understanding the game at some level, get to understand the character more and understand match ups, any questions at all, please ask!

Bibulus - I know now that you like to talk to me about calibur shit and community shit when you are intoxicated, not quite sure what that means yet. Good to see ya anyway.

Kvasir - 9th is just fine for a first showing (I mean, IRM and I both got that placing at our first event). Shame that I am a loser and did not get many casuals in. Hope to see you at SJ.

Jonnitti - Sorry we couldn't get any matches in, but it's always great hanging out with you. I'll hit you up once I pick up Injustice, but I hope you still keep practicing Calibur!

Sandman - You're always a blast to chill with at tournaments. Thanks for crushing me during the tournament and participating in our drunk money match, revealing that I either play much better while drunk or that I have a serious problem.

Jimbonator- You're definitely cool as hell and an important part of this community, especially being fairly new to the scene and keeping the game alive. Congrats on getting second. We gotta get some matches next time. Also, thanks for the advice during my drunk money match against Sandman: "THROW HIM....THROW HIM. THROW. HIM" *One throw to win*

IRM - Sorry if I participate in the community effort to make you our punching bag, but it's all in good fun. You're seriously an excellent player who I will continue to look forward to seeing in every event. Hopefully we get some better IRM stream time like we did at APEX (still one of my favorite events of all time mainly because of Jonnitti's dorm).

Woahhzz - Congrats on another win. Stay in touch for the summer, you piece of shit. =P

Malice - What more can I say about you dude? You've become a great friend and you're always welcome to the AneudyDome (and of course the other Philly duuudes).

AlexTakesAction and Tabris- You two are adorable watching you walk in to this weird world of the FGC and taking it all in. Keep in touch and definitely make plans to go to Summer Jam

Sakurai and TK - I lost you guys after awhile! Lets chill together at Summer Jam!

Zeroeffect - The soul of JJJ seemed to have powered you up. Very good performance, your match against Jimbonator especially got me hyped. If you're not already considered killer status, you're definitely on your way like Malice said. And good shit winning our DEATH pool! We so need to get more practice before Summer Jam. Hit me up!

Sporko - The best Voldo who takes his tournament competition seriously and his partying even more so. Always good to see you, sorry if I stepped on your unconscious body in the hotel room.

Thermidor - Breakfast was fun with you, and I guess Calibur was fun too =P. Have more confidence in yourself as you're very much the American Keev right now. Practice hard, go win another major you fool! And drag that jerk Ramon out of work next time.

RoyalLance - Grilled Cheese joint was off the hook! It was awesome chillin' with you again. We gotta play some matches, hit me up on PSN whenever!

Avylon Crew - Your enthusiasm and and commitment to the game is infectious, as they're much the reason why I want to continue to improve this game. I swear, you guys are on your way to greatness.

Bibulus - Fellow old school brother. Don't think there was really anyone else there who remembered who DSBlackFox was (old school!). As usual, always good seeing you, doing commentary with you, and hanging out.

Kvasir - Very nice to finally met you. Good performance at the tournament, looking forward to seeing you at more events.

BOOM - Yo dog, you were on fire that night. Sorry for losing you after the tournament ended, would've been awesome to hang out post-tournament. Good shit, punch more dick.

KDZ - I'm not sure if you really browse these boards anymore, but I do admire the fame you seem to be getting doing well at the other (more popular games). You're always a Calibur player to me, best known from the old days when you were PureSoulNightmare. Thanks for continuing to support Calibur, I'll hit you up when I give Injustice a chance =)
