Cervantes General Discussion/Q&A Thread

Are you sure this move exist in sc2?

Yes it exists, but its not in the movelist. When i picked up Sc2 a few weeks ago i simply did it without thinking and overnight i forgot the input. This happens to me also with my credit card codes and shit. Use it 10 years, then BAM erased out of my memory.

Yes the one from 1:23 btw.

Because I tried every fuckin' possible move and nothing... o.O

Anyone remember the input for Cervys SC5 44aB in SC2? It was 4agb or some shit, or 44etc. Move is not in movelist and from one day to the other i forgot the input.

It's 4A, B same as SCV. Me and my friend got very happy when we discovered that move in SC2.

Edit: Or it's a4B but I don't remember it being any different to SCV (apart from it being an AT)

As Ryu hoshi said its A4B. Not only is the move safe (SC2 everybody!), what makes it usefull in this game is that the start up animation looks exactly like the DC A unblockable.

DC A unblockable can be massively delayed, even when Cervantes is out of DC you can still do it. This allows the option to do DC, Cancel into A4B and its super hard to distinguish from a delayed DC A.

I never used this move before, so let's try it this time! Can it be good post GI ?

I didn't know there was a cool scc after a dread charge 2A
Look at 1min 16

I don't even remember how to iGDR in this game, dunno how much help I can be lol. Been way too long. Do a lot of 3A, it's a cool move guys.

As far as Cervy es numero uno, I tend to value the more consistent tournament picks. He's definitely strong, probably top 5. But honestly, X won all the tournaments. She's just too consistent and easy to use, and personally I feel like that always has to come into account. Can't go wrong picking Cervy though, he has everything he needs.

No iGDR in this one bruh.
iGDR was in SC 1, SC 3, Sc4 and 'course 5.

X has few weaks, she has a solution to each situation

So how many Unlisted moves has cervy got in this game?
A4
A4B
A4BB
bgB
bgB B
bgB A
bgB 4B
3K:(Back Stance)
4KK:(Back Stance)
1A+BG(Back Stance)

Does 8A+B>BT A+B work in this game aswell?

Is his FC A+B GC in the list? Its super easy in SC2 compared to SC3 or SC4.

Compared to SC5 BT A+Bs are insanely hard. For the unblockable there is a Just Frame version which allows a fast cancel, but i rarely get it at the moment. Its the one you see quite a bit in Tharons Video, e.g at 1:32. Anyone success with a special method?

Not only is the BT window short to get the fast one, also i think you need to press A+B perfectly in the same frame (or 2-3), otherwise he'll do BT A or some shit.

Also his JFC setups are pretty amazing, i dont get it too well in matches at the moment but then again i dont train, only play vs sometimes. JFC after 1B+K hold, SC1 4B+K, SC1 8A+B, SC1 11B etc is pretty cool.

Just Frame Chicken. A just Frame you can do after certain buffered Setups, when you get Gied you need to input 3A+G or B+G so you can throw directly while the opponents GI is canceled, you see it a lot in Tharons Video.

Ha ok, that's this hahaha yeah I know this stuff. Back in 2004, japan expo, cuongster showed me how to do this with Mitsu
The mindgame was perfect...
He did WS 1BB guard crush into 66A+B:
1) U eat the 66A+B
or
2) U Gi the 66A+B and u eat the 3A_B+G

lol
