[Oct 24, 2014] FSAK 2 - Coming Soon (Irvine, CA)


Just because it happens a lot, doesn't mean it's okay. Also, bringing up whether or not someone shows up to tournaments has nothing to do with this particular one he did, in fact, show up to. o.o Unless I'm mixing him up with someone else. There were a lot of people at that tournament.
 
I'll be there, as long as niggas' stop bitching about the first FSAK. I'm also in agreeance- don't name it FSAK2 if the format isn't going to be straight up round robin.

@Ramon: Makes sense. For the record though I would never actually drop names or instances. Was just enlightening the ignorant.

@Krit: A lot of things in life ain't right. The statement tells me nothing because ultimately players who make it to the top especially if they're friends will always do what they want to. Don't let the outbursts and rule changes etc fool u. Tbh on some level the decision these players make can be right. The morality issues people bring up about it is just that. There own morality issues. The players who constantly make it all the way through the bracket because no one else could stop them on some level have that right as well whether people like it or not.

Finally Krit bringing up whether or not someone shows up to tournaments vs. how often they're quick to talk about them definitely has a lot to do with things.
One day you guys and gals will have to learn this. It is the single most important thing to the existence of any fg in a competitive scene in regards to both its support and lifespan. Showing up to one tournament is not an achievement.

Regardless if you like the contents of this post or not. It is fact. Since I'm not interested in the "like my post" game I will always tell it like it is. But yeah this is my last post. If the tournament is run on the fsak ruleset and people actually support it I'll make my decision on picking the game back up for it. Will be back in a couple of months to check it out.

But again bringing up the past is just detrimental and helps nothing if you just wanna be a trolling idiot.

and talking about it is bad. Here's an idea: DON'T DO IT.
IIRC ramons reasoning for not talking about it was "everyone does it" as if that makes it ok.
That to me says we need to talk about it more because imo if cheating is business as usual thats a problem.

1. I haven't been to anything in scv because real life is a pain and I gots bill to pay and I don't even like scv that much. I play it from time to time but not enough to be good. Also am I really being being insulted for choosing rl over traveling for SCV?

This thread is a perfect microcosm of why SC doesn't matter. Small group of incestuous top players are happy winning 60 man tournaments rather than helping the community grow so they can win 200 man tournaments.

Awesome. Thanks for the support. This thread will be definitely picked up later this year, or starting next one. Right now we're just waiting for the release of SC2HD (and Unbreakable Soul?) so we can add it in accordingly.

I thought Bibulus was doing this in EC? I talked to him about it and he said he had the venue and stuff so I told him I'd let him run it instead. The people I originally had supporting this kind of backed out because they said the game "is not as popular as other 2D ones"
