Where do you hear that?
I think is probably the opposite, in the survey for lost swords, Rock was the 3rd character, followed by Cassandra and in the end we got Cassy and Maxi. Yet no sign of Rock.

Well, he put him on the poll over other characters such as Xianghua and Zasalamel, so that's how I interpreted it.

You say that as if the director can actually choose the roster at his own will..
I'd love to see Rock return.However,there are some obvious reasons as to why he unfortunately won't:
1-Not popular at all.
2-Doing poorly at the poll.
3-with the clone,Astaroth,people forget he even exists...
4-Heck,they didnt even include him in LS.
Remember that the previous director's favorite character was Setsuka,and she didn't make the cut in SCV.

Wait, when did Daishi say that? I'm pretty sure they can choose characters at their own will, Daishi made it clear he had the final say on the team.

It was quite known among members in this forum that his fav was Setsuka,must've been via Twitter or something.

Don't know about about Setsuka, but Daishi said via twitter that he wanted Bangoo in SCV and he don't even have a mention. So I don't think the director of PS can do whatever he want. Also:

Too bad there's no way to prove it now that his Twitter is deleted.
I believe the director can do what he wants as long as they can do it within the time Namco gives them. He put it right on his Twitter that he had the final say, so we can assume he had a lot of control. However, Namco was still the one above him, and they rushed him to release SCV. Therefore, he didn't have enough time to add Bangoo.

You'd think that Bangoo is one of the first characters you'd add after the 17 years jump.Since they wanted to introduce new characters.

Not really. To be honest, Bangoo would've been one of the most obviously good choices for a new generation character along with Riki and that guy claiming to be Mitsu's brother.

If you are talking about Arthur, his story claim that he and mitsu are childhood friends.

No not Arthur.In Mitsurugi's Bio for SCV,it is mentioned that a stranger is claiming to be his long-lost brother.
It would've been probably added to SCV's story mode if the game wasn't so rushed.

I see, that would have been fresh and interesting for mitsu story, because all he has been doing for all the games is looking for a worthy opponent.
