Sorry if I'm being Mr Negative I just feel like we going to get the same shit we did last year in regards to Soul Calibur news even more so if Tekken gets delayed.

What I don't understand is why are they holding off on announcing SCVI? To say that it would "interfere" with Tekken 7 is ridiculous seeing as how it's already made them a ton of money through the arcades and has been getting coverage extensively since 2014. Simply letting everyone know that SCVI actually exists wouldn't hurt Tekken at all, so I don't get what they're holding off on here.

They've marketed Tekken 7 in Japan, but they haven't really done anything in the west besides the North American Tekken Tour which caters to barely anyone. The west is where they get all of their console sales, so if you try to introduce SC6 into T7's already bad marketing, then that could definitely hurt T7. You can already see the effects of people forgetting this game exists thanks to Injustice 2.

It's not like SC being announced would hurt Tekken. I mean, it's never hurt it before they've historically been released within a relatively close proximity of each other.

Even if Tekken 7 does get a slight delay as well as the announcement of a future Soulcalibur......

I'm still just going to wait for it. Even if I consider this delay disappointing, it won't affect how I feel what will happen to both franchises as a whole. Waiting is really the only thing we can do tbh.

Tag 2 had bad sales. There are reasons that they do what they do and we just have to deal with it. Would you honestly prefer if SC6 was announced way back in 2014 and not have it be ready like Tekken 7 currently is?

Just so I know it exists, yes. Seeing how the whole thing shapes up would be incredible. Especially seeing Taki in the new engine, I would love that.
Don't keep your hopes up just because there is a new Soul Calibur game doesn't necessarily mean Taki is going to be in it so be careful.

If Daishi were still in charge, then I would be worried. Fortunately, his ass was shown the door and we have Hoshino, who prefers the older characters over the new. There's simply no way they can NOT have characters like Taki lest they want another failed game like SCV.

I'm just saying I know Taki is popular that doesn't mean our new director will put her in the is still a chance she could be out unfortunately.

Given everything so far, I'm doubting it. There's a 99% chance she's coming back for the next SC, only holding 1% due to the fact that we don't technically know everything yet.
