Isnt it similar to a super move or trait ? Like a special technique that you can use only with meter. But not necessarily a CE like thing.

V trigger can depend on the character in sfv. It usually gives you access to a modified move set for a limited time.

Can someone explain V-trigger? Is it not the same as meter lol and if not how do you guys think they'll implement it?

In SFV it had it's own bar which would fill when damage was taken, like the ultra bar in USFIV. The command was universal though and it was just two mediums. It worked as a buff for most characters, but some like Vega (Claw) got a projectile that followed with an instant attack. It was mostly useful for combos.

If you watch New Japan Pro Wrestling it's this

Inb4 this "leaker" is just a guy who took "then make your own fake leak" challange from one of previous pages seriously.
Nah, the fact that Vergeben took the time to come here reinforces his legitimacy. If it was fake and he just wanted upvotes, he wouldn't spend so much time on this site. That being said, I really appreciate all the time he's spending here.

You probably missed it, but on one of previous pages somebody proposed for somebody there to make their own believable fake leak.
So being there only makes it more probable to be honest, as it's a funny challange that was proposed HERE.

V trigger for most characters improves a moves frames and combo versatility for a short period.

For example Chun Li's V trigger adds multiple hits to all her moves so when she does a normal 2 hit move it actually hits like 4 times during v trigger.

In v trigger she can string more attacks together easily.

This video shows some v trigger combos. You can see that her hands are glowing blue and stuff that is normally one hit comes out as three or two hit and can juggle like crazy.

Other examples of V trigger are Fang have permanently poisonous attacks. Kolin having an ice attack which stops your stun healing and freezes you in place when you get stunned.

Cammy v triigger gives her beefed up full screen spiral arrow which hits multiple times and a new spike which also hits multiple times and has more juggle potential. It also has full invincibility frames like her ex moves.

In effect v trigger is sort of another ex move set which can only be activated after it builds like rage meter .
In sfv you also use your v trigger gauge to do reversals, so its kinda like in SCV where you use metre to do guard impacts.

V trigger is the red gauge separate to the blue ex gauge at the bottom of the screen. Some characters have to build 3 segments and some 2. Each segment can give you a reversal but you have to charge the whole thing to activate your v trigger.

I know I keep harping on this aforementioned stance mechanic but what it sounds like is it's a way to have Pyrrha/Pyrhha Omega Pat/aPat to both be in the game but they only take up two character slots. I mean that's probably not the only reason for it but it seems to me the most logical way of combining those characters and not having to pick and choose what stays in and what goes out.

To be fair if Setsuka and Sophie come back there won't be a need for aPat or Oprah, but I definitely see what you mean.

Personnaly, I don't believe in Alpha Pat's return. Following the story of SCV, I can hardly imagine also Sophitia in the roster.

That would be cool, but my guess is that the "V-Trigger" is actually what's left of the stance changing mechanic. After a certain amount of time/life you can activate it and it buffs your moveset. Wouldn't be suprised if it was just dubbed as the new Soul Charge and has a similar animation.

It must have been hard to choose, though we don't even know if Elysium is a real character or not.. We don't know what happened to Cassandra in Astral Chaos.

OMG like Amy Rapier with a Viola orb stance. Since Tira is already a split personality Im assuming gloomy would get some major retooling. :D

I don't really know if Sophitia will come back or not, maybe she'll get the Elysium form permanently.
If it's the case, now there will be 3 sword and shield users : Pat with same style as SCV, Pyrrah Omega (as you said, with normal Pyrrha form as a costume) and Cassy with another modified hybrid style. That sounds great to me
Yeah, like Hoshino's going to let Sophitia stay dead when he's been promoting her as the mascot since he took charge.

Yeah I know, but I don't know how they'll bring her back.
Anyway, between Sophie, Cassie, Pat and Pyrrah , one or two of these character need to be out.
Personnaly, I never really liked Pat , nor Pyrrah with her submissive and frail attitude.
They wanted to replace Cassie and Sophie's personalities but It didn't worked for me .. Althought Pat's fighting style seemed a bit more interesting, I still prefer Cassandra's cocky attitude.

The way they've described Astral Chaos, as long as you have a strong personality/will you can poof yourself back to life whenever you want. That's basically what Algol did. He's the manifestation of Astral Chaos' memories of Algol.

So anything living or dead that's touched Astral Chaos is all pretty much fair game for a return.
