Soul Calibur 6 Discussion

CaS did become something of a joke post SC4, SC3 was less popular so less people knew about it before then and there was no online to speak of.

In SC4 I never really made any myself, what I did like was customising the existing characters though and one thing SC5 did well was the CaS, actually encouraging me to make some but mostly I prefer just being able to customise the existing cast.

Mostly CaS is a massive joke since SC4 really though as the online introduced the ability to show them off, can't really stop people being jackasses online...

I mean do you guys know people that play SC only because of CaS? Me personally when i ask someone who used to love SC but isn't interested anymore by the new ones, they told something like:"New SC games looks random and shits, bikinis and other costumes for perverts, Donal trump fighting against Hilary Clinton? lol and they really call it Soul Calibur?" And then laugh and continue making jokes for it. lol
Just look to the causal forum and the CAS area. I wouldn't be shocked if losing the CaS would hurt SCVI harder than SFV omitting the arcade mode.

People complain that CaS turned the game into barbie dress-up, but I still enjoy seeing other people's unique creations online. It adds a lot of longevity to the game, since the possibilities for CaS are limited only by your imagination. Plus, CaS doesn't affect the actual gameplay at all, so it definitely does not "ruin the series".

Inb4 this "leaker" is just a guy who took "then make your own fake leak" challange from one of previous pages seriously.
Yeah, I realize he HAS. ... AND...If or when he is proven bogus... well... I'm sure the consequences will ensue...on only one 8wayrun member,... this "leaker". --> also serious.

--my grain of salt--

Hum well MKX has the best MK gameplay in the franchise (with even 3 variations for each characters),even though i has a lot of Story focus, so i still think PS can do it, let's just hope this time Bandai Namco won't make them rush the game like in SCV. (Based on the rumours, it seems to be already the case, and that's great if so)

CaS selling point, hum not so sure, SC2 didn't had it and it still the most selling SC game, SC4 sold well as well but mainly because it had a good release timing and SW characters that helped a lot as well.

Well it isnt hard to improve MK gameplay though since its pretty bad. And the story mode also isnt really comparable to sc story.
Also yea 2 didnt have it, but no game had it back then so thats not really an argument. Nowadays pretty much every game has something like that.

An issue I've seen with Black Desert's creation, is that it's a CUSTOMIZATION, not a CREATION....
Maybe it would be a good decision for Bandai/Namco NOT to have a "Creation" feature for Tekken. If they did, say bye-bye to a significant chunk of an amount of any possible future SC sequel sales. They'll just run over to Tekken.

inb4 (about the S&S chars) okay... so about the new character that was described as the one character that is known a decent amount of. What if it's Lizardman (who's not Aeon Calcos -- 'still would count as new). Saying that a moveset/style switching system is being "retained in a certain capacity", it would "certainly" give a Lizardman an excuse to switch styles between how Aeon was in SCIV, SCV, and SCII -- plus technically being a "introduced in VI" ... eh, maybe not that last part. Kappa

are you able to say if the new characters have new or returning weapons/movesets?

"theirs is completely new and not "replacing" someone moveset wise either..." <-- I wonder if this would qualify as well.

Faites péter les infos ! xD Ça serait drôle n'empêche ^^

And what about Harada's last message? Did I miss something?

It sounds like Noctis was supposed to be sc6's guest character for the PS4. His inclusion in Tekken may be re allocation of a canceled product was implied?

Well they managed to put Heihachi and Spawn in SCII and the Star Wars chars in SCIV, Noctis wouldn't feel so out of place...

Indeed, a guy with a lot of weapons in the fist fighting game is quite ridiculous. Anyone with quite of commonsense would find it out of place. But well, video games are not a place for logic and commonsense. As long as the original characters are good, guests fighters are only a bonus.

I don't know, having watched the trailer, and given his setting and design, I think he fits Tekken really well actually.

Then again we did have Star Wars...

Link, Heihachi, and Ezio were the only good guests in SC. Especially the latter two aesthetically. I'd appreciate Link in SCII a lot more had Twilight Princess come out first and been the basis for Link's appearance.

This is who we need for Soul Calibur 6.

I dunno... I feel really skeptical about all this.
You should be. Ultimately it can be figured out with cui bono? Who benefits?

If this is an actual leaker, then him even trying to "safely leak" info is still putting his sources at risk. For what benefit? He's not getting paid for leaking info. All it can be left to is that he's doing it for his own self ego so that he can be known to himself as the SC6 leaker. At the risk of his sources.

Here's the other scenario. This is some troll who is taking advantage of a time frame where a community is desperate for a new game and vulnerable to trolling. So for a similar ego driven reason to troll and make himself feel special, he pretends to have all this info for SCV. Who knows maybe he did have a tiny bit of info that gave him the idea to do this and run with it, but it's good to be skeptical regardless.
