Oh no, I cannot GI, what do I do?

I think they're just waiting to see tourney evidence of your JI prowress.

And really, what were you expecting after the arial kicks post?

(but yeah, take it easy guys)

To hell with tourney evidence, he has talked too much shit that he cannot backup to ever show his face. He cannot even come up with a few recordings of matches that showcase his crazy time honed ancient Japanese video game skills.

To say that he is so remarkably skilled and intelligent, but that he cannot for the life of him figure out a way to record a match? Comical.

The best part? Time is running out for him (and us to witness this awesomeness). He is getting too old for video games, he starts to get shaky at high level play. He wont be able to maintain his unseen excellence for very long. So we may never get to experience his tactics visually, but never fret. Even though the mechanical ability will no longer be present, he will still be 100% mentally, which means we can count on hearing from him for a while.
Only difference is, instead of him making stories about how awesome he is (with no proof), he will make stories of how awesome he was (with no proof).

Btw..

having a really hard time finding a company that is hiring (my current job is notsomuchfun)

I take it the "Google on-site interview" that you "secured" didn't go as planned. So what happened?
My guess is that either the guy JI'ed your resume as you placed it on his desk, or he said something you didn't like so you full speed aerial kicked him to the head.

ok :(.

All bashing aside, I have a question for you Warble. If I were such a hate mongering racist, why would I be thinking of proposing to my girlfriend, who's last name is Saleh?

Don't post things like that, Sponge. You never know if your girlfriend's watching where you post, and then the whole fun of it is gone. I mean, c'mon.

Gee, I wonder why Sponge is on my ignore list...maybe it's because he's an enormous asshole? Archangel, just ignore him he's a dickless twat(unless you're a mod in which case BAN HIS ASS). Reading ignored posts = going against what you stand for. I'm sure you got hella offensive but hey...stretch that e-penis out because at least online it's big!

You can clearly see why I don't go play the local competition now, can't you Archangel? Who'd waste their time driving to play with a bunch of massholes? Not me!

I wasn't aware of there being any other kind of twat. That said, Warble, it's not that difficult to get recording equipment (Assuming you have a real job, of course). Heck, you could just get a cheap camcorder or something, and that would do the trick (All people need to see is that consistent red flash, with the special equipment effects off).

Warble, put up or shut up. I could record a match on my flipping cellphone if I really wanted to.

Every post you make is complete BS and you have provided absolutely zero empirical evidence to back up anything you have ever said. But we're supposed to believe you because your close friends think you're awesome. Give me a break.

I honestly would not care at all if you came to even one Massacusetts tournament but you haven't and instead choose to hide behind the shroud of internet anonimity so you'll always be right in your own little world.

I was debating picking apart your posts line by line, and telling you specifically how big of an idiot you are, but I don't have the time right now at work. So instead, I'll just ask you again to come to one of our tournaments. I will even pay your entry fee if I'm there. Worst case scenario, you lose a couple hours of your life which would have probably just been spent on one of your rooftop fight clubs anyways, but that won't happen since you're so good. This should be free money.

That's a lame excuse. No offense. Really. Especially with this guy up here saying he'll pay your entry fee. If you're as good as you say you are, go play and shut the haters up for good. S'all you gotta do, man.

And btw, hardly anyone is as much of an asshole in person as they may be on the internet. Us gaming nerds don't really want to start any serious shit in real life.

No, you can't pick apart logic because it's logic, and you don't debate...you pick fights. Because you're a masshole. So far I've met one person I'd like to meet and about 10 from the forum that I honestly don't think I could control my temper around. For the one person I was going to attend a BONE, and then the assholes just keeeeeeept on talking. Keep talking, keeeeeep talking masshole, I'm sure picking fights is the right way to get skilled players to attend your tournaments and contribute to your playgroup...right... Maybe if beating someone in Soul Calibur was how I relieved my anger that'd work. Unfortunately I don't think that would be the response that would occur. Don't flex your e-penis and then expect people to go out of their way to meet you in real life, what happens when that occurs isn't pretty.

I could put the command playback on and JI a few times but I doubt anyone would care, honestly if people can't even do that much they're not even trying.

L O mfkin L. Flawless victory.

By now, after the tales of throwing 5/6 bullseyes in darts, wicked aerial kicking skills, and JIing on command, it should be clear to everyone that warble is not only the dumbest person to ever visit this site but also the most derranged. Nothing but another neighborhood champ.

Warble, just show us a vid, go to a single tourney, or STFU, since you yourself have said you don't care about what people think. Most of the people on this forum don't care too much for excessive shit-talkers, which you yourself are until you prove otherwise. Honestly, what reason do we have to believe you when all we have to go by is your reassurances that you can do it if you believe in yourself and stuff.
P.S. Saying something is logical doesn't make it logical.

You can stop calling people "massholes" now, man. v_v

People are just getting irritated, that's all. To say you can JI, during a match against a human, on command, that's something, that's stepping your game up, that's a whole 'nother level.

To then go and say that you're never going to bring that sort of skill to tournaments, never going to bring what seemingly looks like brilliance to any sort of reputable, scientific measuring stick, that's... that's sort of like an insult to the community.

Sharing is caring, man. If you have something good you're supposed to go to these places and beat the shit out of people with it. You know, so they up and recognize.
("Oh, you didn't know?! Well ya better call somebody!")

If there really is that sort of skill, it's like breaking the four-minute mile man, people realize they can do it and the whole community grows as a result.

But as it is now... honestly, you're just being selfish with the information. You didn't have to tell anyone about JIing on command and nobody would have said anything.

Just tellin' it how it is man. No offense.

ORLY, I had come to the conclusion that this forum is in fact just a fuckload of excessive shit talkers with me being one of the few who believes in reason and logic as opposed to I don't know...picking a fight every 2 seconds?

I never said you believing in yourself would help, in fact it's training, dedication and knowledge that will improve your game. Thinking you can do a JI won't substitute for hundreds of hours of training, if you want to improve there is no shortcut and believing in yourself will only help insomuch as it will keep you dedicated to your training until you build the skills to succeed. Perverting good advice into bad advice is a indication that you misunderstood the message, skill and dedication and hard work, applying yourself to building the right defensive skills...that's how you learn to GI.

And I will comment on aerial kicks, just because you guys seem to be jonesing for it, I stated that aerial kicks were not allowed because a) we were on a rooftop and b) the are too dangerous. Killing people or causing massive head trauma is not the way to build martial arts skills, especially when going full speed.

You guys deserve the title of massholes, you've proven it quite sufficiently. Massholes on the roads, massholes behind the computers. Enjoy your title, ya massholes. I'm so glad I'm not from up here. 5/6 bulls eyes doesn't mean I have to be a competitive darts player, why would JI-ing mean I have to be a competitive soul calibur player again? Your logic a flaw it has. And I clearly stated my knowledge in this thread, that is sharing...get that through your head, man. The only offline against skill would be to waste my time playing with massholes and that's not something I'm willing to endure and risk.

The idea of JI'ing everything is in theory the best possible option and gives you the best possible post situation. Any attack thrown at you, you could just JI and punish(including throws due to the update), you will never be harmed and win flawlessly every round. That is why it is the best possible option "in theory". Sadly due to human error, the inability to preform jedi mind reading, and the fact that no one can, in a 1-3 frame window, consistently predict the opponents attack. There is no possible way you can JI on reaction every move every time, regardless of countless hours put in to get that amazing timing. If you have evidence of this being possible, PLEASE i say PLEASE show me! video.... something..Anything! All of this aside....

I offer you this Warble, a Challenge. A challenge of you to come to the next BONE tournament located in Mass and compete as a player. Now, if you do not show i will take that as a sign of you not being able back up your talk of skill with Actual Evidence of this skill, regardless of any excuses (I.E. I don't play with Massholes). We actively seek out challengers that have skill to build our community, and are overall welcoming and friendly, as long as you give respect we will give it back. I look forward to playing you if you choose to accept.

A) Nothing you say is logical. Case in point:
I find it hilarious in friends matches because the more obvious the move the more likely it hits me because I try to parry it! Makes me laugh until I get tired of being beaten by unsafe moves and go to my dota or CS:S for real offline
Wait, so you're really good at JIing but you often get hit by moves you can see coming to the point where you have to quit after missing so many JIs and play another game? Seems to me that would be the definition of "bad at JIing". Don't talk to me about logic. I will destroy you.

B) You don't think you could control your temper around certain people? Jesus this is a game. If you spent the time to come out to a tournament, you would find out that a lot of us are genuinely nice people. I don't know about you, but I play this game as a method of stress relief. No one talked trash with any substance or took any trash talking seriously before you were here and we won't after you leave. But you keep pushing our collective buttons on a public forum so what do you expect?

C) "Keeeeeep talking"? As of this post, you have almost 20x as many posts as me. That's not even logic. That's a mathematical fact.

D) To clarify, I don't live in Massacusetts, I live in Connecticut. Thus I am not a "Masshole" by definition. Though I still find time to travel up to the tournaments there which is much more than you can say considering they're about an hour and a half closer to you. Hell, even New Jersey and New York cats find the time to travel up there. But I understand, a player of your caliber (lol get it?) can't be bothered to mingle with the bourgeoisie.

E) And I didn't pick a fight with anyone. You are insinuating this. Hell, I said I would pay for your entry fee if I was there. That's pretty close to the opposite of "picking a fight". I might not even play you in the tournament or in casuals at all. That's just how these things go. I don't even care if you are good or bad. I just want you to stop spewing such heinous misinformation.

F) And finally, putting the computer on command mode and JIing a couple times is not skillful in any capacity. You might as well be playing Guitar Hero at that point.

It's not easy, and took a LOT of hours sitting in practice mode training the JI to gain the capacity. That being said, yes, I can hit a JI relatively reliably now. Do I expect the normal Soul Calibur player to train themselves to the high degree necessary to do a JI to get a CF off? If they expect ANY sort of consistency in their CF game...then yes. But the short answer is that normal players of Soul Calibur shouldn't expect to JI at will unless they put themselves through hours and hours of training against EVERY player's unblockables, and then pokes, and then train against mixup, and then train against real opponents playing at the top of their game. Casual play is not what people like me train for. They train to attain a beautiful game, to see what can be accomplished by a human who puts themselves through gauntlet after gauntlet to see if what they dream about is reality, if consistency is actually possible at things like a JI. The reason I need 5+ matches to warm up is that there's no "on" switch to high level play, it actually requires a significant amount of ramp even after days of practice to "get there." And I'm the fastest ramp in my group, my friend in PR who is my favorite opponent requires the first 10 matches AND for me to play easy to warm up because I warm up faster. His peak, however, is just as high as mine because we are equals in terms of skill and the only game that we are equal in is Soul Calibur. I can throw as many bulls eyes in darts as can physically fit on the bulls eye on a dart board. I go 5 of 6 at that particular skill because let's be honest...the 6th dart is friggin' HARD to fit in there! That's the level of skill I require of myself, the demands that I place on myself and the rigor of training I will go through to get there is not simply physical, nor mental, it is both. Where most people see impossibility, I see a challenge. To most americans, it's retarded to go through such training. Why? My best guess is that they think it's just not necessary. They expect a lower level of game and when they win this lower game against numerous opponents who similarly play this game they are happy. When you hit Korea and see 500APM in a RTS game they can't follow the commands, nor understand the intricacies, and probably don't even think the game is fun. I hit 400+ APM on Starcraft because it's what I do. I played 3v1 BGH against the top ladder players in America because that was the last challenge I could FIND in America...and I could win. It's not my fault that I see the game differently, but it is also not my fault that the game I see is simply stronger than the game that is seen by the majority of players of video games. It's stronger because the requirements are more difficult, the expectation is higher, and the knowledge is complete. Fun for me is not just execution, and it's not just knowledge, and it's not just training. Because of age I will not be able to even compete at a high level much longer(I start shaking when playing sometimes because of the physical and mental strain), but the knowledge will not fade...just the execution. Am I sad about this? No...that's life. But do I see the game differently now? God no, and it pisses me off when people who don't see the correct game, the beautiful game, come in and mislead people learning who can still attain the highest level and tell them "oh no, this idiot thinks that's necessary but look I'm doing ghetto shit and winning look at me" No...ghetto is not a perfect 10 video game...ghetto is teaching wrong and finding followers who believe you only to have them walk into true high level play and get slaughtered at their teacher's direction.

Dude if you have 400+ apm like you claim, why are you here and not in korea playing pro starcraft....
