Essentially Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition has been re-named Super Street Fighter IV: Apology Edition after this last update to make everything even MORE tournament balanced. Apparently Capcom needs $140 in product and more hard drive space to get this right in the first place.....
While I agree that strides SHOULD be taken to see fighting games (not the FGC, let's not get the two confused) reach out to "esports" leagues there has to be a balance put in place by the pro-esports members of the community to allow for this to happen while our voices and concerns are heard...
Sorry for Responding so late. Yes this is Tim Korklewski. Akuma Kaze is a nickname that I have had for a VERY long time. iKotomi, is your BB: CSE copy an import or an American version?
Great article! I agree with everything you said. It goes along quite well with two rules I have when running my own tournaments or events:
1: Don't be a dick
2: No Turbo allowed
I will bring my tv, ps3, a few wired controllers, and my copy of SSIVAE just in case they are needed. Should we try and run two games at once in order to move everything along a bit quicker?
Depending on my new schedule, I may have to show up to the events a bit late, like around 530 instead of 4. Being a manager is not as forgiving as people may think.....
