A big part of raph has always been his prep stance, so I thought a separate thread about it would be ok. A good place to discuss the stance and find all it's strengths and weaknesses.
Two problems I am having when starting to incorporate the stance into my game is how to deal with crouchers. 6B...

i've been betting on pat&algol as new characters. algol feels very slow and it's hard to keep up with the normal spacing game i would play with raph. but his long pokes give the same type of ranged game: keep out for a bit until you see/hit a hole in the defence and go for it. all his juggles...
no replays, i play at offline meetings only, sorry.
maybe put a camera on the tv next time, would be nice.
i will try keeping the pressure going, even if it's just by moving pat forwards, tnx!
any tips vs cervantes? I'm getting outspaced all the way.
should i be close at all times or is mid range better? he is a lot safer in practise than on paper.
maybe a "system" question:
are pats many tc moves hitbox dependant (character/situation specific) or are some very strong so you can lean on them in basic strats?
i'm having a hard time vs steppers/pressure up close. 3a is too slow and a lot of his moves are open for massive punishment if stepped (22b, 3b, 66b). I'm using a lot of 2a now, and trying to ch confirm 6aa-string and i works so-so. any other tips?
sorry if i'm not seeing it, but where is his i12 mid punish? 33k is 16 right? and if your stepping all day to buffer in that move you'll get hit out of it too much for it to be viable imo.
alongside the anti- raph tools ppl have been learning (bullrush vs all prep, for example) pre-patch...
i hope you guys are more inventive than me and fine new stuff soon, because i already caught myself hovering over siegfried when starting a new match.. brrrr :(
prep k
-dash in a+ba (60) strict, 66a+b will whiff
-ce (90)
-a+ba (57) near wall only, 2nd hit of a+b whiffs otherwise
-66a+b (43) near wall only
4B~bbb
-1b (59) strict
-2b (55)
-a+ba (70) near wall only
-ce (88)
22b
-a+ba (64) near wall only, if wall is off axis and opponant slides away...
patch is out (netherlands). this is terrible, no joke.
22b, 3b does not connect anymore... i don't see any other moves hitting either :/
edit: 2b connects, 1b also, very strict (44dmg)
on the stun for prep bbb, you only get it when the last hit CH's, not the first.
the only thing you get out...
