Well, DoA doesn't fell like you're playing with boxing gloves on... Although I haven't really played either one.

I like the DoA series a lot better, partly because it feels a lot more familiar as a SC player. People are saying great things about TTT2 though, so I don't really know.

Also, DoA5 looks freaking beautiful.

In my opinion Tekken is probably the better game only because DOA tends to favor button mashing. It's all preference in the end I guess neither one is better. Why not rent them both from gamefly and decide for yourself?

People that complain about button mashers in DoA are either scrubs who can't hold or button mashers themselves.

DoA looks fucking terrible to me. The only time I would get it is if theres a tekken or soul cal character in there as DLC. Or if they just completely changed it. It looks like garbage.

Well, that escalated quickly.

Some guys on youtube were doing a review of DOA5. They were playing against each other. I thought these guys actually knew what they're doing because I saw crazy combo after crazy combo. And you know what they said "we're just pushing buttons, we have no idea how to play". That pretty much convinced me that it was a button masher.

That's like judging SC from an IGN stream.

Okay let my simplify it so you can understand. They pushed random buttons, they did crazy combos. That game=button masher. Period.

isn't Tekken the same deal with the button mashing? it is weird that DOA does feel more familiar for an SC player even though they're the opposite company

Not really, DIS. Those "combos" can easily be countered. And if you want to talk about button mashers, then talk about Tekken. You can't even do shit to button mashers.
