because you can back step yoshi and kills his momentum. Ezio will hit you with a cross bow if you try and space.

or 44B if you're in range.

Yoshi's kicks can eat back step. Also, his rush down game eats Ezy's.

Well after playing against Signia at SCR for like 30 plus rounds I think it's more in Ezio's favor. Yoshi's rushdown game is killed with proper backstep and learning Yoshi's gimmicky stuff.

A poking yoshi will have much more favor, though. Gimmicks or not, he has more tools and control up close than Ez.

He's just unsafe to a degree

Not really man. The thing with Yoshi is he has to put himself in danger by pushing himself in. Even his iMCF can be stepped and has weak range.

By that logic, anyone is the same way, though. Zwei REALLY has to, but Ezio as well. 1BBB can be stepped after 11K, and the range isn't that great either, despite its speed not making up for it. By measure, I've found it mostly depends on what Yoshi you fight, because mids will hurt you a ton if you expect his low kicks at every turn, and yet many win their matches mostly on that expectation.

Here's the thing though. Yoshi has to stay in your face to become a threat. Ezio doesn't have to push his way in since he excels at mid-range.

But you forget that even if he can space Yoshi, his crossbow can be 8way walked in 1D (couldn't resist), and he can be punished at mid-range for it. In that case, Ezio must approach, which plays into Yoshi's game; his faster moves (AA at i12) to kill step will be 214A'd on near reaction.

In fact, 3B whiffs up close vs. that move. It is heavily in Ezio's favor if the player is good at predicting/reacting to some of the near unpredictable. If not, he can be thoroughly dealt with.
