    I don't mind that they screwed up my name, or that they put USA instead of Canada. But why did they have to make my character Viola? Did PS really think I would become a Viola player? Well I am known for gimmicks so it kinda makes sense...

    Saying that sc5 is more balanced that 3, isn't really saying much at all. Sc3 was a giant clusterfuck, but sc5 is still a pretty big mess. IMO sc4 had the worst balance of them all, namely because of Hilde, Sophitia, Ivy, and Amy, but that is strictly my opinion. This game hasn't been balanced since sc2, when it was in arcades first. Go figure, right?

    SCV is amazingly balanced. I have no complaints about it at all; the outcome is truly always in the hands of the player and not the character. If you think that SC4 is worse balanced than SC3, then you haven't played SC3 competitively. SC4 was pretty balanced aside from certain matchups against Hilde/Algol. But outside of that it really wasn't as bad as people made it out to be. SC3 however, don't get me started...

    Well I guess it's just matter of opinion. Speaking of lack of balance, I actually used Hualin in sc3 just for kicks. Now THAT was what I call low tier LOL. She was pretty fun to use, too bad they never expanded on that style in a later game.

    I don't remember exactly what happened with C3 back then, I think it might have had something to do with prize promises not being kept. You'll have to ask some other oldschool tournament players if you wanna know all the details.

    @slade because while Edge Master and Kilik use the CE's of their respective mimic, Elysium has her own unique CE, which imo can lead to some interesting stuff. Like try using her CE to extend a Viola combo, or to extend a Tira mix up. I've tried it and they do some good damage.

    Honestly, it's not even about mastering all the characters. I firmly believe that it's all about the player. Someone can spend hours memorizing all the moves/combos/frames etc for a character, while another person can pick up the same character for a day and still do better simply from having better fundamentals, defense, and mind games.

    I've been playing SC for over 13 years, so I have my understanding of the game down pat. Just learning the basics of every character, enough to be able to win a single round, will be good enough for me to compete at high level. And of not, I always have Dampierre or even Ezio to fall back to. :)
